For me I just get bored with the repetition of invasions, toxicity of kl, micro-transactions and the grind for seasonal currency, I play for an hour and get completely burnt out

i think one of the reasons why mk players "leave" the game if theres no new content is simply because you cannot have different ranks for each character. In street figher you might be diamond with luke but if you' want to try e-honda, you'll probably WONT reach the same level. But you can try because the game allows you to have different ranks for each character. In mk once you reach a high level you cannot switch to another character, otherwise you'll derank, which means you get stuck with the same one - making the game more stale and "boring". In short, the game punishes you for trying to learn multiple characters and that in turn takes away a big part of the fun of the game.

What needs to happen is Ed Boon needs to take his MK characters back and break away from WB

1. No kameo mode 2. Next Kombat pack without spacing put character. 3. Add more Story content 4. Tagteam mode (with or without kameo)

I love mk1 but damn the lack of content is what hurts it.

How I would save this game 1: Give us more than two ways to get dragon Crystals. 2: Gives more ways to get costumes. 3: communicate with your fan base if there's an issue.

I hate Invasions with a burning passion, I want the skins usually, but I hate grinding the invasions. I'm a casual player and I really liked Krypt in the original, and although I didn't like the towers in 11, I was addicted to them because of that constant reward loop. If I had to "fix" the game it'd be improving the singleplayer experience by making rewards and XP easier to get, along with make a new krypt, similar to MK11, because that mode was fire.

Wish this game was also more of an mk celebration. More modes, even bigger roster, side games, maybe even throw in 1-3 or trilogy as unlockables….

First I’d put the dlc characters out immediately. Then I’d add a mode where you don’t need cameos. Then I’d add a way to unlock everything that isn’t so grindy like a pay to unlock everything.

Bikini skins for all Female charakters would save the game

My problem with mk1 is invasions is taking up all my time that i cant sit back and actually enjoy the game. I feel a looming duty to get this one skin then i dont have time to hit up online. I havent even finished story mode yet because of invasions. Once i finish a season i almost need a break until the next one starts.

My big problem with the game is that there's nothing to do. So, I would add back something like the Krypt, and maybe some other towers options.

Tekken and Street Fighter are not selling Rage Art or Drive moves moves for $10. That says a lot.

MK1 Nedds: 1. Xp and leveling reworked 2. Steady way of earning dragon crystals after story mode and mastery. 3. Missing story mode skins added to shrine 4. Invasion overhaul (I'm a casual and its mind numbing.) I suggest they buff the ai brain, remove the stat point system, and add additional themed content throughout the season. Maybe add nightmare/neatherrealm version mode after you complete invasion for additional rewards? 5. Character saved custom load out ( we shouldn't have to return to the custom menu everytime. 6. Towers with progression reward system. (Anything i can earn by playing the game really that isn't a grind.) 7. Apologie kontent and crystals, you see it more with mobile games but with how things are going I respect groups that can own up to their mistakes.

With SF6 and Tekken 8 releasing around it as fully fleshed out games having such a lack of content really really backfired

I decided to hop online for the first time in 2 weeks, my game froze the other day 4 games in a row and said "This game play is not available". Since the update on the PS5 to fix their desynching issues, worse issues need to be addressed.

Here's my idea to save MK1: -Make the game as fast as MKX -Lessen the microtransactions on EVERYTHING -Make the Kameo system EVEN MORE INTERESTING (Or better REVAMP THE SYSTEM) -Add some mini games such as Konquest, Chess Kombat, Etc -Addional story content -Releasing ALL OF THE ANNOUNCED CHARACTERS AND KAMEOS in Kombat pack in a span of 2 months after its announcement -Revamp of Invasion -Rewarding the players who's on a match by giving them a "Round 2/Final round music" (Like SF6 and specially Tekken) for better experience -Kharacter Kustomization -Other social features that the Game needed -And most importantly: A BETTER COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE FANS AND THE DEVELOPERS

I would ask the community what they actually want like motor kombat or chest kombat or 2v2

Just got out of Twitch and saw MK1 have only 100 channels with less than 150 viewers

NRS needs to rework the game modes without trashing what they already have. Divide the game in 3: -Mortal Kombat: 1v1 no kameos -Team Kombat: 2v2 main roster only with assist style (like the MK9 mode) -Kameo Kombat: The current game, 1v1 with kameos, but ambush assists and buffs/traps only. Allow 1 or even 2 Kameos each player. How crazy would it look to have 6 characters in screen at the same time (much like the end of story mode). Let this Kameo Kombat mode be as broken as it can get for ALL Kameoa. Patch after patch again they tried to balance the roster because this is their MAIN and ONLY mode. Now the Kameo select screen should look like MK Armageddon, characters from all eras of MK. A personal request: PLEASE keep the color schemes consistent: I don't want an Orange Smoke or a Blue Scorpion. The Color Schemes in MK are the identity of many characters. You could play with a hundreds shades of green but choosing Red for Reptile is terrible.

In mk11 we do towers and unlocked gear and skins... I miss that

I think that you should have different rewards on different Towers on rotation so that you can grind them for some cosmetics

i would bring back ability loadouts from mk11 so then the combos people do are a little more unique instead of everyone having copy and paste combos and i would add 2-3 more gear slots for more customization

To answer, I feel like MK1 just needs more to do. And more unlock. More offline modes like a separate TEST YOUR MIGHT that would give cool skins like MKX did. And more towers to get more stuff for the characters. Game needs more skins that OBTAINABLE INGAME, more offline modes, and honestly, something like character towers should return. You play this tower to rank whatever character you want and get things for them just like MK11. And if they wanna keep invasions then hell, keep it and keep giving us the “order of darkness” skins. But we some classic skins for the characters and maybe even some of the kameos wouldn’t hurt. So yeah more offline modes and things to get. For online, I think we need the whole KL side quest thing like MK11 had. You know, the little objectives you can do to get cool things like more brutalities, customizable items, currency, and TIME CRYTALS! Yeah…bring that back pls. Like seriously…they gotta bring that back. Talking about more reasons to play online like yeah, I need that 😅. And I feel the skins should be cooler. The skins back in MK11 were different they were more dynamic and specific meanwhile these new ones in MK1 are just “Order Of Darkness” recolors. LET US GET GREEN LIGHTNING RAIDEN AGAIN!! You're probably the only youtuber who's addressing the problems of mk1 in a more positive way, and I appreciate that. Everyone else I watch feels so negative.

Honestly, I think they should, for the first time, do a secret combat pack for the second one, a little bit like smash bros ultimate, where every character of the combat pack gets revealed and becomes available at the same time so everyone talkes about it, just think of it, when homelander will get released, most people would be like " I’ve heard homelander just released, I might try it” and that’s it, but if homelander was revealed at the same time as released, the amount of hype will increase significantly. Think of smash bros with their dlc characters pack, they revealed all of the characters (Steve from mincraft or kazuya from tekken for example) one by one so that each character would get their own hype, and get released shortly after, and trust me, smash bros has A LOT of dlc characters. Mk should do that instead of anouncing every dlc characters at once even before the game comes out, and then the hype dies out after the game releases, cuz you have to wait more than a year before the character you wanted releases. For example, we don’t know what guess characters will arrive on tekken 8, but it will probably be great, that’s why people keeps being hyped up for the game Imagine if netherelm announces JOHN WICK in 5 months or somthing, then they say, the character will release in a week, it lets a week for people to watch the trailer, know that JOHN WICK is coming in mk, and downloading the game, every Chanel (even you) will talk about it and be hyped, and then when he comes out, the game will be popular again for at least 1-2 months, then do that AGAIN, imagine for example GHOST FACE from Scream arrives in mk1, same thing, a trailer and the character in a week, the game will become popular again for 1-months and you can do that for as many characters as you want. There’s 12 dlc characters in smash ultimate, which if you go by my logic, is enough to keep mk alive for long if they do like smash bros

Everything you described that you didn't like about MKX besides the run cancel moves is the same way in Mk1, it's still mix up heavy but just uses the kameos to implement the mix ups and block pressure. Granted you do get flawless block option in MK1.

Or instead of just new characters they should introduce new moves for characters. Every month few new moves. That should be interesting.

I think your missing out on the reason why mortal Kombat 1 is dying recently a new game that came out called suicide squad kill the justice league and that game sent Rocksteady games down to the ground and not to mention Warner brothers is making all there new games live serves games and mortal Kombat 1 falls into that trope and that could be why no one is playing the game and also Tekken 8 has some really good customization where you can basically make a better mortal Kombat game then mortal Kombat 1 so that's something

It's pretty unfortunate too. I'm a huge mortal kombat fan and I love this game but there enough shit thay built up and eventually people just don't want to play anymore. I still play quite a bit but I know a lot of people have already dropped it. Enter the netherrealm made a pretty good video on the topic calling mk1 a great game that nobody wanted

I love MK1!! The gameplay is so fun, and I'm playing Omniman all the time!! However, even I'll admit, the game isn't in a good spot right now. I also still play Injustice 2 to this day!! Now, that's mainly because I love the game, and I like playing online with my friends, but my point is that when I check the Multiverse that I also play from time to time, there's always new content on rotation!

I guess I'm crazy but I loved MK11. I put hundreds of hours into that game. I did love the living towers cause they did a good job rewarding players with in game items.

I'm really thinking about returning to Mortal Kombat 11. I didn't like that game's or 10's Krypt (I think walking around looking for unopened chests is even more monotonous than grinding gold and then repeatedly pressing "buy" at a menu shrine), but the separate defensive meter was an excellent idea that the otherwise-fine 1 got rid of, and the final cast size was remarkably large while still having ways to customize movesets. Mortal Kombat 1's art backgrounds are BEAUTIFUL, which was why I didn't mind the lovely-looking Invasion areas so much (and they got rid of the absurd artificial difficulty from Injustice 2's/Mortal Kombat 11's worst towers), but I feel like that shouldn't be the most notable part of a fighting game, especially when 1's art galleries for the actual characters are so small and the character tutorials are now just needlessly difficult combo challenges instead of where 10 and 11 took you by the hand and explained which characters are good at doing what and why that matters. To say nothing of how 1's player count is lower than 11's.

They need to bring back the 3d era not just the characters but the stages too. To be able to move around the entire stage in this day and time will be so cool

Now my opinion is coming from a person who has personally played every Mortal Kombat game when they came out. I was there when Mortal Kombat original came out and I used to go to arcades and play it every day for hours at a time I used to go up to the 24 hour Walmart where they had it in the front entrance of the store and played it all night long so I am a diehard Mortal Kombat fan, but when they did those holiday fatalities for the price that they put on that and started that whole deal that really turned me off of Mortal Kombat and also with a lot of people that I know it’s the same thing just the fact that they’re that greedy plus the fact that A lot of people hold Mortal Kombat to a higher standard and invasions just isn’t fun. Bring back the Krypt

I would change a lot of things about MK1 and more MK games: 1. Remove all of the microtransactions 2. Make every DLC & currency’s prices drop to a reasonable amount 3. Make the alternate costumes you see in MK1’s premium shop DLC 4. Make so much of the game be able to play offline 5. Give Player 2 access to everything Player 1 has 6. Get rid of the gear system and bring back the variant system 7. Give players a different method of getting more dragon crystals 8. Give Nitara a new voice actor 9. Fix the online servers 10. If everything fails I’d shut down NRS

Lets start with how I would fix MK1 if I had the chance 1. Remove Invasions and replace it with a konquest mode, mixing all three together, what I mean by that is you would be able to select your character, explore the world with him and fight too, and along the way, random chests will appear with keys for the krypt just like the old games. Once you finish the story of one of the characters, you select the other until you finish it all. The events would be connected to the main story mode, making konquest a prequel to the main events of the game 2. Krypt A krypt like the one in mk11, where you can use the keys you found in konquest mode to unlock new items, songs and etc 3. Mini Games Stuff like Motor Kombat, Puzzle Kombat, Chess Kombat, that sort of thing and all offline and online if you want to play it with friends 4. Bring more content Mk1 lacks a lot... and I mean A LOT... of content the previous games had, bringing back all the classic costumes from mk1 to mk4 would be a nice addition, along with all the skins from 3d era to the hd era, it would take a lot of time to be done, but once it is done, you would be able to select your favorite skin from the previous game you enjoyed, and also, bring the movie costumes as a little bonus too because the costumes in all the movies are really good, even the lame 2021 movie which is the worst of all them. These are just a few of the things I would do, and yeah, that kind of thing would take a long time to be done and nothing would be rushed, meaning it would take a while for these things to be added, but once its done, the game would be infinitely better... unfortunately these things will never happen

my main issue is how long the invasion mode is especially when you don't have a lot of time to play the game itself I feel like thier are too many worlds you have to nav through

Think invasions needs better pacing (round 2s,even faster movement on board, ext.) but a better endgame would be huge because once you do clean up and the seasonal tower… your sorta done. I’d feel expanding the final area to be more like the tower of time menu wise because I feel the board game style falls flat there. We can have expanded level caps, new Invasion + where you can replay it but way harder, and if you put some dragon crystals in it than I feel people would play it more.

Bring back run button, bring back 50/50's, take away kameos, add a true tag team option like mk9 and make jumps less floaty like mk9 or mkx. That is the key to saving mk1.

I think being able to play with friends in toweres was a really cool idea, I just wish they could incorporate like a 2v2 like mode or smth like that, even then another problem I have is everything turns into beef sets... like they barely win or something so when they do they have to flex it to the world or smth but other than that this game is really fun maybe make king of the hill a lot better with muting unmuting while waiting, and maybe add an official tourney mode, maybe im od tho

The game is not dead! Everyday I play it, and everyday at everytime, there's a lot of players online. I would propose a 1vs1 mode without cameos to propose 1 more mode.

This would save the game 1 - Add friendships, babalities, stage fatalities 2 - add a couple of klassic stages like the pit and motaro’s balcony 3 - have a weekly test your might, sight , luck , balance towers with weekly rewards 4 - add the 300 levels challenge tower and update it every month or two

I would’ve willingly eaten bread for a month if it meant I could afford MK1 at full price. I recently got into MK11 before last Christmas and I love it and was super bummed I couldn’t get the game. Now I gotta get a PS5 AND the game at full price

I think NRS should've recreated the midway 3D era with some adjustments like making both the controller's left trigger and the Run mechanic as tracking options for players to counter sidestepping and creating a brand new mechanic that is favorable to every character in 3D environment. Also they should've started the story with MK deception angle bringing Shujinko and Onaga as main leads saving Shang tsung and Quanchi for later installments.

If i can change one thing that would be a downgraded version with lower size for example a version only with pre reneered backgrounds with size of 30gb not 110 gb.

I think the main problem with mortal kombat 1 is the 2d , look at tekken 8 with his free big 3d area where you can walk around and you feel with the stage, in mortal kombat 1 the stages looks great however you feel been limited in your movement, only forward or back. and that sucks for long time 😵‍💫

If I had that money I would break away from WB. The reason Ed Boon hasn't been seen is because he is in out worlds dungeon in shackles by Warner. Honestly I actually enjoy the Invasion Mode, especially fighting their stage bosses makes the fights more challenging. My only issue is the MK Store in MK1.

I know this is off topic, but what if after NRS finishes with mk1 and is done adding stuff, they could maybe go back to mk11 and add 5 characters so that the roster is a full rectangle??

I think the biggest reason why is because the devs took forever to address the major issues in the game. It showed a lack of caring, so I don't care anymore either! Been playing Tekken 8 and not looking back!

Just add more modes and more customization that's it. Towers of Time in MK11 was probably the worst mode that NR added but you had the motivation to keep playing, you unlocked the intro, outro, skins, gear, etc. even if you didn't feel like playing, you played because, for example an intro looked cool

As someone who never play online, the game really works good for me. I really like invasion and don't understand the hate for it. I only wished Gateway Portal would have towers who can give you gears or pallets. And the only REALLY BIG complain I have about this game is the fact that you can't choose which skin you want for your character on select screen before every match. I like collecting skins and pallets, but I never use then because I must change my character from Kustomize after every match.

The least they can do is to return jiggle physics, and also more revealing costumes

I really like invasions, I like going through and earning things for the characters and experiencing the mini story for each invader. I would shorten the seasons and keep them in rotation so I can earn the gear and gain experience for each character.

I am one of those invasions players, I grinded out the fire temple all the way to invasion boss bi han in 2 days and then went back for the golden grandmaster skin, since i got it ive opened the game 1 time to 1v1 my friends
