Experience Mortal Kombat's first-ever major expansion. Aftermath features a brand-new cinematic story centered around trust and deceit. Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, looks to secure the future he envisions. In order to do so, he is forced to enlist the help of some unlikely allies and familiar foes. Players will have to decide who they can trust and who they must defeat with fate on the line. Set up by Cetrion, and Kronika to further their plans to see Shinnoks release, end the Elder Gods, and then create the Titanesses new era for her children to reign over for her own version of balance. That woman definitely takes after her counterpart, Kronos/Cronus, with her self-righteous arrogance. At least she didn't eat her newborn children to keep a prophecy of them overthrowing her come to pass.........though when I look back, she emotionally manipulated Cetrion into giving her soul away. So in a sense, Kronika DID consume her daughter - just not in a physical sense.XD

Different timelines, perhaps? Nobody says the timeline has to be straight from 9 through X and 11. Kronika said herself everything's played out like this several times over, even Raiden realizing not to fight Liu Kang. It's entirely possible that on *this* timeline Sindel was never a hero and genuinely put the ward up trying to keep Shao Kahn from overextending and merging the realms without victory in Mortal Kombat. After all, it really _did_ come out that the one time Shao Kahn decides to merge the realms without victory, he screws himself over, no? That's probably the best in-universe reasoning for the multiple timelines, retcons, and arcade endings, after all.

He may not be the same kind of tyrant that Shao Kahn was, but he was still something of a dictator who executes people who have to steal just to survive. The man's everything wrong with the ancient cultures that were the Columbians, Mayans, and Aztecs. Even still, there is never going to be a scenario where someone like Kotal will ever beat Shao Kahn one on one. Even I saw that coming every time they tangled. But at least he put up a decent fight against the Emperor before being reminded who the real Kahn is.

I never understood why Kung Lao was mad at raiden for his death. Liu Kang I do completely, but with Kung Lao he says raiden sent him to his death fighting Shao Kahn when that’s not true. Raiden sent him to fight Shang Tsung and Quan Chi and he won. Shao Kahn just happened to kill Kung Lao due to him not fighting at all because he didn’t know he had to, and caught him off guard

MK9's Shao Kahn was the definitive version. MK11 plays a lot more straight of being brawn over brains. Granted, he's always been like that, but 11 portrayed him too impulsively.

I love MK11’s design of Shao Kahn because it shows that he’s more than just a regular character in the series. Even though I liked him in MK9 his design didn’t really show what he really was.

For me in mk11 shao kahn was blind and getting beat down and he still dosen't give up and when sindel came in and killed the sho kahns, shao kahn still remembers who sindel is thats extremley sad
