I like that Shao Kahn rolls with stuff so well. Like, Scorpion for instance, all about the Bit all the time. Never has an off moment, even if he is putting up with a barrage of stupid jokes. You see that kind of "I am too serious for this!" posturing in a lot of evil overlords. Not Shao Kahn. When it becomes apparent that his usual doom and murder spiel isn't gonna land, he just goes with it. He doesn't exactly joke back, but he does lean in to being the straight man. Which makes him a better clown than Joker, for what that's worth.
