Any other move is punishable and can even be interrupted by the entirety of the cast. Most only lose out of zero match up knowledge. Few can make him look good. Which is mostly too no one playing him and again zero match up knowledge
I would have traded hers for noob or Shang. It might just be me but I literally never land noobs for whatever reason. But I think we can all agree shangs is just god awful
It's such a shame because Shao Kahn is one of the coolest looking characters in the game from a visual standpoint, but pretty much everything about him sucks from a competitive standpoint.
Right? Everything about him looks so cool, but he’s just absolute trash. Couple that with him being a preorder bonus that you have to pay for independent of the Kombat Packs as well and no one’s really bothered to give him a shot.
Right I play Shang shung he is prob the only good villain ever that can win raider is trash because he just is all dismembered and shao plays awful he’s trash
They did after MK9. MK9’s Shao literally made me want to smack my head with a pot and then head butt my refrigerator while running across magma and legos.
Fr imo she needs better krushing blows, a better mid, and better combos off here launcher imo doing it twice into 44 is so inconsistent. Edit:also no flawless block gaps that won't affect her online but in tournaments for pros it will
@@adiabeticturtle2463 she only has 4. The uppercut and the throws that already 90% of the cast have. Then a punish one that does barely any damage and is slow as shit. The overhead so much risk no reward and the party one is above average for a party but it is locked into a variation and is overall just meh.
that 1 guy 90% of the cast does not have a throw kb, I already said her overhead one is bad, her counter hit one is great if you’re good at whiff punishing and the parry one deals a lot of damage and heals her, she has problems but kb’s ain’t one of them
Gary Kay I'm just saying most characters have throw kbs she slightly lucky to have one on each. And her whiff punish one isn't hard to get just not good damage it's not bad just not good. The Parry itself heals when amplified not the krushing blow but now checking it the Parry kb in total does 298 that's not bad that's actually good my bad.
Skarlet doesn’t want to stay fullscreen in most matchups, more or less midscreen. And yes, her fatal blow is one of the best things she has. It has made me so many comebacks because it’s almost 500 dmg after every string

Skarlet's fatal blow isn't bad at all. Just because it can get low profiled doesn't make it terrible, you do any of skarlet's strings into fatal blow and it's pretty much guaranteed 40%. I fail to see how it's bad
Kano's Fatal Blow: Am I a joke to you? Because I am to everyone else. Seriously, it's slow as fuck on startup, it's hard to kombo into outside of really basic strings like 11FB and 23FB, it's laughably punishable with almost no pushback, the hitbox is bad, the damage is the second worst in the entire game (only because Erron's has a lot of the damage done in the pre-cinematic gunshots), the scaling sucks, it's a mid so it can be blocked either way, and while it's advancing it doesn't go nearly as far as any other advancing Fatal Blow. It has absolutely zero redeeming qualities besides looking cool, and I am shocked it did not make this list. It is absolutely worse than Raiden's and Skarlet's (it's probably a little better than Cassie's but it's damn close) and you wouldn't have had to resort to "cheating" if you'd mentioned Kano's godawful FB.
I'm a kano main and anytime I try to get the fatal blow off it never works and i either drop the kombo and loose or they just counter fatal. It poses me off everytime
After the all variations teir list and my boi Shao Kahn wasn't at the bottom for it so seeing him in the thumbnail, that intro, & the spot on the list..... Yet again my man is being shown off to need some love.
Kano really should be on here. His armor frames take a very long time to become active. This is even more apparent after the universal fatal blow nerf.

As a Raiden Main since MK2011, This Resonated too much with me After all this time, they gave Raiden some shine in the Story and even had him as a guest in Injustice 2 So why, TF have. they. not. fixed. the. issues. with. him? 🧐
Cassie Cage's fatal blow is actually very good because it can be used Back Jump -> Fatal Blow. This gives her the same kind of interactions as Scorpion with his air teleport, and even if the enemy expects it and holds block while you jump, you now get to back jump for free as long as you're in critical and you still have your Fatal blow.
At launch I mained skarlet. She was so much fun and she had all the tools she needed. Now it seems like the developers left her behind while every other character got stronger. She needs a buff so her attacks don’t tickle anymore!
Pi! (This list makes me feel a bit guilty sometimes, since I really like playing Kabal, who has a pretty good fatal blow, maybe one of the best but I don't know, also Geras' does a good job as well and is also obviously not bad)
I was playing against my friend's kano with raiden and I could guess/react to when he did his fatal and I just did raiden's to beat it so yeah I'd say his is pretty bad and should replace kotal's spot on this list

I will actually come to Cassie's defense here. Her Fatal Blow is really slept on because people can't combo off of it as well as other characters. Where this Fatal Blow really shines is its versatility: it's actually a great whiff punisher due to the fact that she goes backwards, and it can be used as an antiair when cancelled into from her B3. It can also be used as a mobility tool as well, since it can get Cassie out of the corner and then puts you in a range where you can utilize her zoning. And my favorite gimmick with her: since it can be used airborne, it also works off an interactable, so if you do it, and the opponent attempts to catch you midair with a D2, you pop the close or normal version of the Fatal Blow and they get caught during their recovery frames. It's more of a matter of creativity with Cassie's Fatal Blow.
Once again Shao ends up in the pit of shame, is moments like this where i ask myself wtf was NRS thinking when designing him. Might as well delete him at this point
Ik it's more trouble than its worth but if the opponent breaks/doesn't there's an extremely low and difficult chance that if you back dash fast enough and execute your fatal blow like legit pin point timing, you can finish a corner combo with your fatal blow with Shao Kahn. I've done it on accident twice. They may have been 2 years apart but it is possible.
PLUS WHY ISNT KUNG LAO ON HERE ?? I play Kung Lao and it’s sucks when u do a combo and you fatal blow and the first hit hits but the second doesn’t and the fatal doesn’t come out ...

Facts buttt I have to agree as a Kitana main, she still has very noticeable problems, most of them being that she's wayyy too slow but she's still a decent character NOW, so I feel characters like Raiden and Shao needs essential buffs however they do have decent damage, Skarlet also needs better damage and needs to be a bit faster and safer but other than that I personally Shao Kahn and Skarlet are pretty ok characters damage wise.

When I played as Erron black against Jade and she uses dodging shadows and then I’d use my fatal blow the bullet shots would go right through Jade not letting me do the fatal blow
As a Kotal main I shouldn't say that but his FB is definitely one of the worst even post-patch.. You can drop after the first hit and full punish him every single time...
If they got rid of fatal blow and turned flawless blocking into a combo breaker opportunity, then I wouldn't complain. Although I guess FB is to keep newbs happy.
