Man I remember being a kid in the theater when this intro opened up every kid in the theater just lost their shit with adrenaline and emotion. The 90s were a hell of a time to be a kid

I was a kidd when i saw the movie in the cinema with my friends... The whole Cinema gone crazy with emotion screams when that logo appeared... Those were good times...
I remember seeing this in the theater. People were lined up outside to see this movie. The hype was incredible. When the lights were dimmed and we heard that mortal kombat yell, oh man the cheers were crazy. It was incredible.
I remember watching this in the movie theatres when I was in elementary school. Bro and I begged mom and dad to take us. They finally agreed. Mom fell asleep, dad loved it lol. Also the crowd going wild during the intro. Brings a tear to my eye.
You can talk crap about the CGI used back in 1995 but god damn that intro is amazing and well put together to make you really get into the movie. The movie itself is very well done and contained within the MK1 and MK2 stories.
This is one of those intros that instantly grabs you by the balls! Still to this day It catches me off guard and pumps be up instantly. I loved this film.
You just had to be there......seeing this as a kid in the theatre was epic af. Such an attention getter. Made all the parents who didnt even care get into the film a lil more
I get goosebumps hearing this intro everytime just like at the theater in 1995! It was so packed and then you had the next group waiting in the hallway!!!
Because of this, I have always remembered the New Line cinema logo. Best part is after the "Excellent!". The music there, I just remember being in the theater going crazy. :D
I'll never forget that feeling I had when I saw this come up on screen for the first time. Video game movies have had a bumpy track record over the years to say the least, but to every video game kid in the 90s this was the baddest motherfucking thing we'd ever seen.
I saw this movie back in 1999 on TV and it was my introduction to the MK series. Since then I played all core games and I'm big fan of the MK franchise
I came to the theaters in 1995 as a teenager expecting nothing but a flop. And I came out dancing to an extremely catchy beat, kicking the walls Liu Kang’s style and shouting “get over here!” with everyone around looking at me thinking I was nuts. This is unforgettable.
I remember being a kid wathcing this movie in the theater and the opening credits pop up. The flaming dragon simbol appears and this music starts playing. Bunch of kids screaming in the theater. It's one of the greatest memories I have from my childhood
The voice that keeps yelling Mortal Kombat is Kyle Wyatt. He did it first in the 1993 Mortal Monday commercial then The Immortals sampled it and pitched it down a couple times to make the yell deeper for the song, which is the version you hear in the track.
My dad and I got it the week it came out on VHS and me being 3 at the time just being glued to the tv while watching it and doing little tournaments with my action figures GOD THE 90's ROCKED
Being 5 years old kid at 1995, watching this on VHS. This techno opening was so mindblowing, especially how it was very different from slow intros of any other movies. Just straight to the action!!!
The casting for this film was so on point. Even the ones that were different than their game version (like Shang Tsung) had a fleshed out personality and were all interesting and had carisma. They all did great. This film truly had a soul. That’s what makes it a classic that’s enjoyed to this day. PS: and man, you just can’t, and shouldn’t, forget this intro.
....well, there's no blue flames in MK. Sub Zero is basically the only blue character, both Scorpion and Lui Kang use Fire and are generally the main attractions with Sub Zero and Raiden, making red/fire a dominant theme. There's literally the hell stage too, the theme goes good with Fire also, not so much ice or electricity, though Shao Kahn and Tsang Tsung use green fire/energy.
I went with my best friend to see this in Theaters in 1995, I was 13. Everyone including us jumped up out of our seats and yelled when the “Mortal Kombat” yell started. Best intro to any movie ever!
I remember the day I saw it on opening day in 1995 and this intro kickass as everyone was hype when the guy scream......MORTAL KOMBAT.....u had to be there
Mind you, this was the first time this theme song was put in a mortal kombat themed movie before the mk11 trailer or anything mortal kombat in that fact.
