Mortal Kombat (1995) Movie Review

I'm a huge MK fan and I also love the video games. I love this movie and rented it incessantly from blockbuster video throughout my childhood. Some people hate the sequel Mk Annihilation but I actually love it. I mean I get that we don't get some of the original cast back to reprise their roles but we do atleast get Robin Shou back as Lui Kang and Talisa Soto back as Kitana. Brian Thompson was perfect for the big boss main villian Shao Kahn. Its funny because I saw him in it and I was thinking to myself..."Why does this dude look so familiar?" The light finally came on in my head and I remembered that he had a cameo as one of the street punks in the first Terminator movie from 1984.

When Johnny's supposed manager Master Boyd morphs into Shang Tsung...I for some reason new that was coming. I guess its because Shang Tsung is the boss and he was giving him the opportunity to compete in the tournament in a disguise as Master Boyd.

That scene with Lui Kang and Kitana fighting wasnt really a fight. Kitana was testing him to see how good he was.

As a mortal kombat fan of the 90s i loved this movie and linden ashby and robin shou are actual martial artists they even got injured during filming during the reptile fight robin was thrown into the pillar and landed on his ribs breaking them and during the scorpion fight linden ashby also got injured

Bridgette Wilson is clearly a don't mess with me woman who can fight especially in Billy Madison when she's beating the shit out of Adam Sandler in the pool.

Really? Kitana is a fucking royalty. If Shan Tsung would take her soul, her father would take his ass. Don't you think it's not a good idea to kill a doughtier of mighty tyrant you work for?
