This is a demonstration of Noob Saibot in the arcade version of Mortal Kombat 2. Read on below for more information...
This video shows pretty much all the player can do with Noob Saibot without freezing the game.
In Mortal Kombat 2, trying to play as the bosses or hidden characters is EXTREMELY prone to freezing the game. There's only very few things a human player can do. It's next to useless.
For movements like walking and jumping forwards/backwards, you must have the direction held/pressed BEFORE the round starts. If you press these directions AFTER the round has started, it'll freeze the game. And when trying LP/HP/LK/HK moves, when you press the button it must be held down - if you release the button the game will freeze. It's very sensitive to locking. Surprisingly though, it seems that the Block button and the directions Up (jumping up) and Down (crouching) are flaw-free to an extent.
Noob in MK2 is of course, a complete black pallette-swap of Sub-Zero. He has a faster walking speed, and his special move is Scorpion's Spear Throw, which only the CPU Noob can do of course.
Even though he should be like any other regular character, he is still very flawed when a human player controls him, and this is because of the direction and button flaws described earlier.
In all of the arcade versions of the 2D Mortal Kombat games, selecting and playing as the bosses and hidden characters through alternative methods is extremely flawed - one wrong move by the player will lock the whole game. This is of course due to the fact that the bosses/hidden characters in the game are not programmed for a human player to control.
