I'm born in '82 and enjoyed my times in the arcades and the 16bit-aera (Megadrive vs. SNES) back then very much, best time and best games for me! I still like the old school games much more than all the new stuff...
that leg raising was not captured , you can clearly see it was done with some drawing software . they just cut out the leg and rotate it with the rotate tool
Great gameplay of Kitana. This brings back so many memories. I always sucked at playing mortal kombat but it was fun. Fun Fact: In an interview, Ed Boon said that Kitana and Mileena were added to be the female equivalent of Scorpion and Subzero with their rivalry. Of course, later in the franchise, they have their own stories intertwined with one another.
@@zachwillas6329 Khameleon tried, but Reptile wasn't having it. I also wanted Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) and Sareena to get together. I also liked Johnny Cage and Sonya, because of course I do.
God I remember the hype and the endless waits to play this game in the arcade. Seemed even bigger than MK 3 a couple years later (I always think it was the better game too)

I know I'm 4 years late but what about Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Reptile, as well?? They all have their normal fighting stances at the start of the match but after that, they all have Sub-Zero's stance from then on.

I hated Kintaro! I always though of him as a Goro wannabe and I still do to this day. Still gotta love this game. My personal favourite of the first 3 MK's. Thank you arcadegamesfreak for the another great MK video!

The woman who "played" Kitana in this, the original Kitana, was a Latina. Apparently that's too white looking, so they made her asian in the newer ones, erasing a Latina. Pretty racist shit.
Personally I always mix it up with the fatalities, friendships and babalities during play. Seeing the same one over and over again gets a bit samey. Apparently even Kung Laos vertical hat slice did for my mates when I was recently playing the arcade version in Birmingham, but I don't agree with that one. Still the best MK fatality ever. I'm fact, I believe this is still the best MK ever.
I have a feeling when Miss Kitana does that fatality, that's the "kiss of death".Also, when she and Miss Mileena get it on, it's a case of sibling rivalry. These fatalities are sick, dangerous but very effective 'vs the opponent.
