I like when he wins, but the crackle is soft and has a "TH" sound. VERY RARE! Usually in the living forest, dead pool, and tower stages. Somethings the arena as well.
The graphics are lacking in the modern games too. I liked Mortal Kombat better when the fighters looked like real people. The current cg models are oddly proportioned, and even the fantasy characters like Goro and Kintaro don't look as good as the old stopmotion miniatures.
I agree Mortal Kombat 2 was a major step up from the first game they did a lot more with MK2 compared to the first game nothing against the first MK game the sequel really stands out much more
@@PaladinDustyAbsolutely! Better graphics, better sound, more characters, better gameplay, richer lore, two fatalities per character, three stage fatalities, friendships and three secret characters! Everything was more in every way!
The screams of power exertion when he does the electric fly in this video are incomparable to any other MK game. Everytime I think of Raiden I think of this and that's what makes him stand out even more from other characters in the early games.
I remember when this came out in the arcade. I was a scrawny 12 year old and the older teens would hover around the game to the point you could barely see the screen, let alone play. And there was always that kid who studied all the GamePro strategy guides and would crush everyone. The hype kinda died down by MK3 (and Killer Instinct stole some of its popularity, too) but it still drew a crowd when it was new. Great memories, though.
I was that GamePro kid lol people used to stack lines of tokens on the arcade machine waiting their turn to play against me. Eventually everyone would get pissed off when they kept losing and would leave haha good times.
In the mid 90s, I used to play this game at the arcades almost every single day. I couldn't wait until my last class in high school was over so that way I could go to the arcades. The 90s were the best time.
RAIDEN is my favorite player in this game! I have beaten this game countless times! The teleport, torpedo, and the uppercut are my favorite moves. All you have to do to beat this game is do the torpedo but you have to aim for your opponent's head, with the exception of the bosses. And you must know when to uppercut them.
TrueGamerOpinion they don’t need to be. They were created because a bunch of whiny people complained about how violent the game was. The new mk series was created with a fuck you attitude to all the SJWs of the world. They ain’t toning anything down this time.
Craig Adams do some more research. A bunch of whiny ass parents complained about the first game being too violent so Ed Boon decided to make alternate finishing moves for the second game
18:10 Raiden did his job in letter and spirit, unlike in the movies etc where he relies on weak mortals getting everyone into danger. This is the raiden We voted for and that was the raiden we got. There should be a return policy for useless raidens.
for any character you can also repeatedly walk up to him and keep high kicking him in the face. not a fail safe but works very well, I guess cause they thought no one would be so bold
The ai in mk2 is so cheap all it does is defensively react to the moves you try and your movements, it won't just attack you like a human player would so over time good players have figured out how to manipulate the ai into behaving expectedly.
One simple word: "THE PIT 2" .... In the middle of 90" after mk 1 pit, it was a revolutionary ,unique and agressive finishing stage!!! I think this from when i saw it for the first time in the arcade version...!!!
The game of my youth. I remember spending my whole money and more on arcade. Escaping from classes just to go and play. Then, one day my bike got stolen from outside the arcades and then having to lie to my dad about it... Lol Then, when bought the PC diskette version. So expensive, so much pain to install and the each time to run the game you had to look for a random word in manual booklet. I still remember the smell of that game box. I got to install some emulator and play it ASAP.
I NEED ME MO MONAY!! Raiden should be a spokesman for J.G. Wentworth. 877-cash-NOWWW 17:08 "I found a dog!" "I found a dog!" "I need mo monay!" "I found a dog!" - Raiden trying to run a pet shelter.
Because he can't play on the 1p side in MK2, that exploit doesn't work on that side for some strange reason. When playing Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Raiden and both female ninjas, make sure to use the 2p side. When you jump towards the AI, it has to done at a certain range in order to make the AI to walk backwards. They'll then pause for a bit and attempt to throw a projectile, jump over it and hit them with a combo.
