I remember final fight at the store like 2mins from my house then walking home seeing street fight until the 3rd grade and walking home from school I had 2 quarters and I saw Mortal KOMBAT 😳 i was amazed!!!!! It was really incredible and then going to another town that’s bigger than mine and seeing mk2 at the mall pfft if I had wings I would’ve flown away

me , total random in another city for my brother at hospital, during the time of is operation, i've go at shopping mall, arcade in there and MK 2 was speechless , incredible feeling, was hoping is operation fail and we stay longer! lol

This game came out when I was in high school and what a game changer it was. If you had seen a game called Pit Fighter, it reminded me of that at first, but I quickly realized this was a whole other ball of wax! Legendary!

Same thoughts about the Pit Fighter characters but the game was awful. I must say I was a bit disappointed when MK for SNES came out because lack of violence. Sega version was better when they kept a little bit of blood and violence.

i love the aesthetic of mk 1 and 2.The 90's ninja assasins are my favorite identity.Even the music reflects this style choice.

Brilliant play through! When it was announced of the new MK1, I was kinda hoping they would remaster this version. Now I’m glad they’re not gonna butcher this classic of an arcade game. Long live MAME and the ability to play this game on a big screen.

I grew up in LA and was a teenager when this game came out. We used to see these other kids we knew were in real gangs playing the game with their girlfriend dutifully writing down the fatalaties with her lip gloss pen. It was fucking surreal.

I sincerely love this game , it's full of bug and the gameplay isn't really the best but it's the only MK that gives a sense of crude and visceral, the characters are not full of steroids or fancy outfits, have no combos and the blows are more lethal. I still think the MK2 is the best but MK is something.

I still remember going to a Police Station to do community service. On my way back home there was a 7-11 so I went in and that’s when I first seen MK. It was so much fun playing! 😊😊😊 Great times!

I always like how people always think the color scheme and how dark mkx is people always think that's how mk is suppose to be. Yet in the game the outfits are much brighter there's a few backgrounds in mid daylight and shang tsungs room is all right and bright.

Open MAME and go to "General Settings > Video Options" turn on the HLSL option, save the settings. Open the game, press the TAB key, enter the "Slider Control" option, and you will be able to adjust the RGB color, brightness, saturation, number of scanlines and other various options to leave the image as you prefer.

Arcades had the volume so high on these machines. Midway was the shit at this time. (N.A.R.C, Smash Tv). First time I heard and saw the game.( Kano vs Johnny Cage.) My first thoughts where "Holy Shit they made Bloodsport the video game. FUCK YHEA!"

I left a comment about shadows. I can't find it. It's just the spotted pixel shadows look really sega-esk. And that was an ugly port. I mean even the saturn had these horrible pixeled checkered patterns. Go solid black. It's so much more beautiful. This isn't criticism. Just an opinion. Only reason I care is because I'm so damn stoked for this. You sir are awesome
