It's technically one of the timelines, and I think this might be a possible plot we could be seeing the next game, something about the relics could be more threatening maybe the new power source that can either become a Titan or creating a new one being which is something we'll have to find out

This story feels like it's combining the best parts of the MK11 stories and the OG Mortal Kombat story. It really does feel like a best of both worlds scenario in that regard

I know right the way Kung Lao team assisted Liu Kang and did the teleport counter attack on Shao Kahn is so badass. This epic fight scene is a really awesome callback from Shaolin Monks and Armageddon.
Seeing and hearing some of the MK11 voice actors return as Kitana, Liu Kang, Fujin, etc is super cool, and hearing Vanessa Marshall as Sonya really gives me Injustice 2 flashbacks when she played Dinah. No hate on Ronda, but Vanessa's a great recasting to Sonya, period! The new Raiden voice's damn cool as well as its the voice of Thor. Travis really is that talented. MK onslaught as an RPG's got me hyped for it.

Me personally I’m not feelin the new voice for Raiden on Onslaught, his voice is too deep like Sub-Zeros’ so I rather take the OG Raiden voice actor any day💯
Someone probably said it by I think Travis isn't a great choice for Raiden. His performance is good and all but like with Matt Mercer's Majima he sounds too young and lacks that mature wisdom feeling to his voice. I think he would work better as Shinnok if he use his black Zetsu voice. And with Sonya... I need to hear more of Vanessa Marshall's performance to judge. She's a great choice but I'm not really feeling it in her performance

Raiden being recast in this game from Richard Epcar really stings but it seems like this take on the character mirrors how he was portrayed in Deadly Alliance which is super awesome

I'm glad that Johnny Cage, Jax, Sheeva, Kitana, Liu Kang, Fujin, Scorpion and Cetrion appear to keep their MK 11 VAs. I can't wait for the full game's release!
I just love how in this game we're getting interactions we never thought we'd see Sheeva and Scorpion interactions Jhonny Cage and Fujin (they are my favorite interaction looking at the chapter art, they literally look like buddies 😭) And Kitana Jhonny and Fujin. Can't wait for the rest when it's officially released

Honestly if you know his background and Lore he's a character with a lot of untapped potential had the original timeline continued we could have gotten some interesting stories out of him I think the new timeline could have expanded on what was built but like with many things it only destroyed or outright ignored :-(

@@GuamoKun I actually kinda like cocky and sarcastic Kung Lao. Its works with him since Liu Kang is usually the calm, clear headed monk in their rivalry/brotherhood. Its becomes clearly evident when we see these 2 work together, like in the Shaolin Monk videogames. The only issue I have is that Kung Lao doesn't need to get killed by Shao Kahn in every cheap way possible. In the Og timelie, Kung Lao nearly was killed by Shao Kahn, but survived and only thought to be dead. Mk9 and Mk Legends, Kung Lao gets killed and dies in a way that feels below to him.

I have a feeling that the whole story was the prelude of what this universe will face in MK11 continuity. I mean, this universe still have Skorpion still in QC's control while Johnny and Sonya wasn't a couple at that time. But, judging how Kuai and Hanzo walking side-by-side judging me that it was another Variant of the OG Universe.
I actually kinda of wanted to see a continuation of the MK11 canon storyline ending with Liu Kang going back to the Shaolin temple with his new fire and ice powers and meeting a more serious and different version of his best friend Kung Lao. Hopefully in MK12.

Pretty sure in Kitana story since she going to take the crown of King Jerrod she going to find out Jerrod her actual father and betray Shao Kahn staying a little bit true to her actual story and discover Mileena is to replace her like she found out in MK9 and Jade will turn against Shao Kahn to and both help the Earthrealm heroes and that's when Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung have Sindel resurrected but not brainwashed she be always evil not sticking with the actual story.
Hopefully we will see characters such as Havik, Motaro, Nitara, Meat, Ashrah, Movado, Li Mei, Chameleon, Khameleon, Taven, Daegon, Sareena etc in this game in the future this is a type of game to include so many characters especially if you building a team.
I hope so. Quan Chi wasn’t in MK11 but we saw that they used his MKX asset in his dialogue with Skarlet, Scorpion, Shao Kahn, and Kitana. Hoping they will do the same for the characters you listed, but don’t expect them to appear in cutscenes, as that’s most likely for characters who were in MK11. They’d have the most up to date models
I know this is a mobile game so it's probably going to be steeped in so many micro transactions I probably won't want to play it, but I really kind of like how this game doesn't know if it wants to work in the original mortal Kombat era or the 3D one so it just kind of slams the two arcs together to make something entirely new. That's pretty cool.

If it's true, then that means MK12 will most likely start in the past and from the look of it, it could be during the events of MK2. Kitana mentioned tournament and the kids (Jacqui, Cassie, Takeda, and Kung Jin) never existed around that time, plus Sub Zero and Scorpion working together, this early on. I just hope they give Stryker, Smoke and Cyrax closure, unlike in MK11 when two of them (Stryker and Smoke) were a no show.

I noticed we got two voice actors both recasted for a good and probably bad, with Sonya's voice actor being voiced by Sheeva's voice actor now, while Raiden is no longer voiced by Richard Epcar. Even though Raiden's voice is not bad and gives a slight 3D era Mk vibe of narration, I'd say he's still second place to Richard's Raiden despite being memed a lot has gotten the experience since MK vs DC.

I'm guessing these relics like Drahmin's Mask have some role to play in for Mortal Kombat Onslaught.. Whichever Power they hold it can't be good.. This reminds me of collecting the relics of all characters back when Taven found them during Mortal Kombat Armageddon.. Maybe they took some Elements from the Konquest of Armageddon into this new mobile game.. Now I'm more excited about it.
This story mode is odd. When does it take place? Why are half the characters wearing the wrong costume (Liu Kang’s headband, Shao Kahn’s helmet, Raiden’s vest, Scorpion using his hood, Kung Lao’s vest and hat, and probably more)? And why does it look lower budget (which does make sense for a WIP mobile game)? Edit: I wonder how much will change, will they get Richard Epcar back for Raiden? Is Sonya’s new voice staying (since I know her mk11 VA wasn’t an actual voice actor)?

I dont mind Raiden having a different VA tbh. Sonya's VA is the same one that voiced Black Canary in Injustice 2. Tbh I dont think the voice fits Sonya but I do think its miles better than Rhonda's performance. I'm just so confused when this story takes place.
Rhonda will always be the worst choice for me. This one isn’t great either, but like you said it’s much better. For me, it’s tolerable. I used to main Sonya before MK11, but Rhonda’s voice acting just killed it for me.
This doesn't take place in either of the existing timelines it's its own thing you can tell by the way events are depicted and the relics both the events as depicted in these cutscenes as well as some of those relics well being relics make it impossible to fit in either the OG timeline or the NRS timeline

The shade of Sonya Voice Actor bring changed. I get Rhonda wasn't perfect but this new voice is to...cutesy for her. Rhonda had a deep tone that fit. Just like Tricia in MKX.
It’s not shade ronda is to busy and expensive it was a bad idea getting a celebrity involved they are to busy and can’t always come to do new work on a whim
