Yep. I remember being bummed my older bro made me pick Kung Lao at first but over the course of the game both story wise and move kit wise (tp kick infinite combo) he became my favorite.

I remember spending so much time with my childhood. Best friend playing this game every time he'd come over and we'd have a sleepover. Or something we would be playing mortal combat, shall in monks.
best friend and I were play this every day with chess kombat and motor kombat breaks. The MK spin off games and mini games is what I miss most about the xbox days
hands down one of the best MK games ever created - played this religiously when I was a kid - favourite character to use was Scorpion cos of the combo’s you could hit people with - I also remember you could do cheat codes in the start menu to unlock characters without actually finishing the game - seeing this now as adult makes me want to play it again for old times sake…
I truly enjoyed this playing it with my younger brother in 2012 the good old days😂 we couldn't get enough of it definitely one of my favourite ps2 games saved lunch money for a month and bought it .🙂
Holy hell, I never see anyone talk about this game. Me and my best friend 100%ed this game more than once as literal children. I’ve just realised how cool it is that we still play co-op games as adults. Thanks for this man, I shall sub

This game was my childhood. I played it with my brother all the time. Hopefully they can remaster it one day. Can’t believe they cancelled the sequel 😢

Got myself a copy of Shaolin Monks on launch week. Me and my bro played Ko-op mode. So much fun. I'm playing it again on pcsx2 on my steam deck, and it holds up so well. They sure don't make em like this anymore.
In my most humble of opinions, this is the best mk in the catalog. It's not the same rinse, and repeat of cut scene-fight format, carrying the player through a whole story
I remember playing this game with my brother....it was more of a sport genre game for us, cause most of the time we just playing basket ball with corpse (0 hp enemies) bouncing it with jump slamming attack and pass around between me and my brother until the corpse explode itself LoL XD
