Yep, Kerri Hoskins in the flesh. Out of all the MK Live Tour cast -- Kerri was the only one actually digitized in the Mortal Kombat 3 game. As far as "Mortal mania" goes. I'll never forget the day I first laid my eyes on the original Mortal Kombat game. It was DANGEROUS !

I saw this when I was like 12... It was awesome. This and the ninja turtles tour... Sindel and Kano were at a local video store doing a promo and my dad took me. I had just gotten out of tae kwon do, and I was wearing my gi. They asked me to show off my skills in front of a whole crowd. I was stoked. If we had gotten it on video, I'd be the "MK kid" and I would have owned the nintendo 64 kid!
The dude playing Shang Tsung is actor Sidney S. Liufau. He played one of Shang Tsung’s henchmen in the first Mortal Kombat film and security guard Paco in the film You Me Dupree!

Is it just me, or is she the best representation of Sonya Blade that we've seen to date? She shoulda been in the Mortal Kombat movie. If it is Kerri Hoskins tho, she still looks good. Always been my favorite actor for Sonya Blade even if she really didn't "act."
You know... ive been around since the very first Mortal Kombat hit Arcades and i gotta tell you....I REALLY dont remember Kabal being a Zulu Warrior from the plains of Africa i mean it could just be that its been so long since ive played MK3. I also dont remember Kano using a pair of nunchuks but hey it for kids to um concerned about violence? and be positive???
it was the secret codes that are used in MK3. Thing was that the ad campaign, movie, and live tour featured 6 symbols, and they would add some interesting things such as prohibiting the use of throws. Some of them though did leave hints such as playing some pinball games like No Fear and Jack*Bot which if you did a certain action, it would give you a code for MK3.
It couldn't be helped I guess. The franchise was making money like crazy, and to maximize those dollars they took it mainstream and, through action figures, comics, the animated series, and THIS, marketed to '90's young'ins like myself, who ate all of that stuff up. XD

Well... now that I have finally watched some stuff its really not the worst. Some decent choreography. Sonya looked fantastic... And I guess a positive message. Better than the Turtles tour lol
I went to the live tour at the arrowhead pond and man even back in 1996 it sucked. it was so cheesy and bad it could have been a live production of a Roger Corman movie.
When I was nine years old, of course it was, but looking back at it now, it was cheesy as hell. It's funny to think how much they were to trying to make a violent video game for its time like Mortal Kombat appealing to younger kids. Oh, how I miss those days.
I do too. I remember when Rated R movies like Terminator and Aliens were marketed to kids. I had a T-1000 action figure and most kids in my school had Alien Xenomorphs from the film.
Actually, I never got to attend the MK: Live Tour. I just happened to catch the local news reporting on the event in Southern California. At the time, I was a gametech at a popular Amusement & Miniature golf center called "Sherman Oaks Castle Park". I had to work that day. Later on in the evening I was told the cast of MK Live was showing up ( which you saw in the other clip with Kerri playing herself )!
Mortal Kombat is just plain awesome. NO other games got this kind of rep for a fighting game. We don't edcuate kids these days that games are just games. Look at how many young punks you hear on your mic these days. Personally, I think these guys are heroes. At least they got up early and did something cool. Pretending to be the characters you like is nothing to be ashamed of.
5 years since I've posted on this video, apparently Kabal's look here did strike a chord with Netherrehlm Studios as this look was loosely adapted to Kabal in "Mortal Kombat 11". Looking at it again here, its not that bad. Thankfully the "Baraka" on the left never got put into the games.
Yeah, Kerri Hoskins is very attractive and down to earth woman. I met her at MK LIVE Tour promo at a miniture golf / arcade place I used to work at in Sherman Oaks, CA. I don't have any other footage of the LIVE Tour but I do have footage of when they showed up at my job at the time of this Channel 5 recording -- later that day. I'll have it posted soon.
i know the person who played scorpion and the masked sub zero, Darius Wahrhaftig he actually teaches karate in newtown where i live, he's a really cool guy
