Yeah, I looked them all up. The song playing at 3:00 is Mahadeva by Astral Projection. at 3:30 it changes to Hall of Fate/Ressurection from Tekken 5 Dark Ressurection
@Rodgerinho Energy projection takes place during the actual match. MK "fatalities" aka murders happen after the fights been won. Therefore, MK murders aren't a true part of the "play" in gameplay. The "Instant Kill" moves of Guilty Gear on the other hand can actually be accessed during the round so they actually do factor into the gameplay. The MK characters had different special moves, but their martial arts styles were identical and the animation paled in comparison to most fighters.

i think that developers can actually make this happen with the right controls. i.e. the super fast ice rolly thingy chameleon keeps doing can all be managed using the right analog or something and when u get those slow motion things that can be accomplished by moving the analog in certain directions like how ryu hadouken is down right punch u can do the slow mo thing like left left right up down or something and does a mini special i think that developers should look and try to make it somehow
@Rodgerinho WWE will never be a simulation until the day that the focus is on selling moves without getting hurt, executing moves without hurting you co-performer, scripted situations, limited to full coreagraphy and predetermined outcomes. Your exact words: "Tekken is probably the most realistic of the beat-em-up games, unless you're including WWE, UFC and Fight Night". None of those games are beat-em-ups except Tekken, and that's a secondary mode. Tekken's main function is competitive fighter.

It's Game music, i'm sure if you download the soundtrack from Street fighter and Mortal kombat you should be able to find it, Most likely the song your looking for is from the street fighter sound track.

They should make a Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter game! But it would be all balanced out, MK would use fatalities & SF would use Brutalities, N the evil ones would use fatalitities as well. But it wouldn't be toned down like they did with mk vs dc, It would be more gruesome..Im pretty sure they'll work something out...Also they should put the option to pick what kind of controls you want to play as, either the MK controls or the SF controls. @Rodgerinho Can't speak for the new Mortal Kombat because I haven't played it. That comment was written before it came out. In that context, the comment still stands. Virtually all the MK games were sub par, and the only reason the franchise ever did well was because the characters were murderers. Until part 3 everybody had the exact same fighting style and the games were anything but fluid. Mortal Kombat probably would beat Tekken, but only because they have magic. Tekken has far more skill.
@frenchfriesidiot I'm not entirely sure you've ever played street fighter. I liked watching MK but I could never really get the blocking system. I'm waiting for Killer Instinct to return!!
Yes I watched the movie its not Cannon by a long shot. Hell it contradicts basic story elements from the games themselves Ryu has never trained with Sakura. He's fought her once and didn't even know who she was until then.

I was referring to the female character designs in the franchise these days. You did put SVR into the same catagory of UFC and Fight Night.
@Rodgerinho Sonic booms and hadokens are directly related to gameplay. No different nationalities in and of itself isn't racism. The character designs are meant to be over the top. The fact that Mortal Kombat had the same fighting style for every character is what means it had the same fighting style for every character. Slight differences in athleticism doesn't make a fighting style different. The finishing moves of Mortal Kombat have nothing to do with gameplay. They're just gimmicks.
@Rodgerinho If anything, Chun Li's modified qipao and alpha outfits are actually conservative compared to what most real life female MMA fighters wear. I don't see you complaining about Zangief, El Fuerte or Vega AKA Balrog. Sagat and Dhalsim are half naked. The bottom line is that there's a winner and a loser planned out ahead of time. If this wasn't the case, people would rarely spontaneously take dangerous or humilliating moves like the Kudome Valentine or the stinkface.
i love the fighting, it's just so epic!!! as for the story....why does akuma and ryu have a love affair??? akuma would never ask ryu "why do you resent me?". akuma wants ryu to resent him, he wants ryu to be filled with hatred and anger so ryu can unleash his dark hadou.

Because it doesn't seem to get in the way of women actually wearing leotards for exercise, pro-wrestling, gymnastics, ballet, track & field, etc. plus, you are only assuming it's spandex. Tight fitting gear is standard for most grapplers. Chun Li's regular gear (leotard, leggings and modified qipao) is just fine for one on one combat. The extra outfit in SF4 on the other hand... well all I can say is, I would of preferred the alpha out fit as a secondary.
Whats the source of the technoish music that starts when Akuma kicks through the wall, but ends before the Tekken music kicks in? Or is that Tekken music also?
@Rodgerinho By saying that WWE isn't in the same catagory as UFC, you suggested that it wasn't a simulation. I'm not confused at all. Perhaps you should just be more cautious as to how you word things. A "beat-em-up" by definition is a game featuring combat between a protaganist(s) fighting against a large number of under powered antagonists. UFC and Fight Night are not "beat-em-ups".
@Rodgerinho At least R. Mika and Sakura have athletic support. The only one I can think of off the top of my head who doesn't is C.Viper. Can MK say the same of it's 3D characters? I LITERALLY MEAN EVERYBODY FROM THE 3D ERA BUT SONYA BLADE. With phrases like "bollox" and "mate" constantly sprinkled into your replies, I assumed english was your first written language. Was I wrong? Cammy & Sonya both serve in special units that don't exist so that's a pointless question.
you could always download a mugen its a fighting engine that allows you to create and fight with your own charicters i got myself 100 charicters from marvel vs capcom vs Mortal kombat vs dc.
@Rodgerinho Untill a prowrestling game is made where the main focus is on producing scripted results and occurences, prowrestling games shouldn't be considered simulations any more then Garouden Breakblow should be. Off the top of my head, I literally mean all of the females in MK's 3D era save for Sonya Blade.
@Rodgerinho Games like that are based more on exaggerated martial arts and less on super powers (like hadokens). However, Virtual Fighter is even more realistic than Tekken. I have no idea what you find realistic about Smackdown vs Raw since it's basically just sadomasicism with two people taking turns dominating each other (I only bother with it for the CAW's), but the most realistic non-simulation fighting game would most likely be Garouden Breakblow.
@Rodgerinho MK2 still had the exact same fighting style for all the characters. "Fatalities" have nothing to do with gameplay and neither do "friendships" or secrets. MK has never been fluid, and DOA and Tekken is by definition less gimmicky. With those games, it was about the gameplay, not gimmicks like turning into a giant and murdering your opponnent after the fight is already over. At least in Samurai Shodown the fatalities actually had something to do with the actual gameplay.
@frenchfriesidiot to be honest their is a huge diffrence between the character, basically what your saying is like me saying that sub-zero and scorpion are both the same, their both dead/immortal...they both come from a clan, except one is yellow, one is blue and one uses fire and the other ice....but thats not true their both unique characters, dont judge games until you've played them....
@Rodgerinho If it were a true simulation, the focus would be on coreagraphy and executing moves at the right time (like Pa Rappa the Rapper), not on an actual battle. Cammy's leotard doesn't have a cammel toe and is actually fairly practical (if a little skimpy) for one on one combat, plus Cammy is in the minority. The typical MK outfits on females are totally impractical and in the majority.
