Morton is a listener of words and says exactly what he thinks. This is true of intelligent people. He will give an answer, not necessarily the one YOU want, but rather his honest answer. Thank goodness he's back on tour with A-ha Hello from Chicago
Incorrect! Ostentatious and polrumptious individuals give short, generic answers. Much like Morten gave in this interview. I like him and appreciate his talent, but I'm going to call someone out when they're being unnecessarily rude. True intelligence isn't defined solely on how one responds to a question. It is the general consensus that intelligence is based on how well one can acquire knowledge, and utilise said knowledge in their day-to-day lives. These brazenly cocky answers by Morten are just unnecessary.
@@saroushen Complete rubbish! Morten is always completely honest and he says things exactly as he perceives them...and frankly most interviewers ask quite unintelligent questions which he answers to the best of his ability. Despite his fame, looks and talent he is just about the least conceited individual you could ever meet.
@@marjoriemcbride6557 Oddly enough, my definition wasn't rubbish at all. Applying acquired skills into your field of expertise is almost the literal definition of 'intelligence'. As I said on your other comment in a roundabout way... Your reply is another prime example of someone who doesn't know how these interviews actually work. I work for a media platform, and believe me when I say that I thought could ask anything. No! We are told briefly that there are certain things we should and shouldn't talk about regarding the individual. I.e, their personal life. Picking up small and irrelevant details is what we do, depending on the situation. If you do not like the format of questions, kindly take that up with the producers, not the hosts who are told what they can or cannot say. There is a saying "Don't shoot the messenger!"
@@frenchartantiquesparis424 Really? Would you mind explaining why you believed him arrogant? He is always shown as really friendly to fans and willing to sign autographs. Would love to learn more if you care to share!
@@conniediaz6456 Oh Connie... it's a long story (: When I was young in my 20's and living in Paris, I got in contact with the French a-ha fan club. We all had dinner one night, and they told me a-ha was performing in Germany in a few weeks... Even though I didn't have much money, I booked a train ticket to Berlin and to make a long story story, I met another fellow solo American traveler... a beautiful Blonde girl... We became friends, and pushed our ways to the front of the show. We ended up finding the hotel A-ha was staying in, and we went we went to stalk them out... lol.... We weren't alone. There were tons of fans there.
It's true what they say, that when you fall in love with someone's eyes, you will fall in love with them all the time. He aged, yes, but those eyes have always been as beautiful as ever.
hmmm, i think morten is endlessly tired of the cliche questions and answers.and i also think he's tired with all the hype he gets over his looks. he doesnt address it himself, and i think he thinks that people see him on face value, and forget that this guy is actually quite deep.his looks can be a bonus, but also a burden... im sure he'd much prefer to be sitting at home drinking his coffee or writing his music.
Você fez esse comentário á dez anos, e é muito atual cada palavra dita! As perguntas são sempre as mesmas ,a maioria é sobre a aparência dele ! Deve ser cansativo, responder sempre as mesmas perguntas,em várias entrevistas.
There have always been both down to earth artists and pretenders. Nowadays there are great down to earth artists like Hozier, Yebba, Chris Martin off the top of my head. When you focus on beauty, you will see it. When you focus on fear, complaining, self pitying and so on, you will see only ugliness in today's world and fall in the trap of thinking that the past was better. That's a weak, meaningless and ugly mindset, because out if it, ugliness comes and so you contribute to it. I'd say break the cycle.
@@Jaqvander well true point but there's a difference between focusing vs things constantly being thrown in your face. If it takes real effort to focus on something, then theres indeed a problem. Otherwise, yah its all in the person's head. So it depends on the situation
"When you become famous, you're ousted from society." Truth. He suffered through that, the alienation, the isolation, the loneliness, basically what we all at some point have to face by feeling it, but fame makes it acute and unavoidable. Authenticity is the result of this journey. Nothing beats knowing yourself.
I can't imagine. I would never want to be famous. I've never l liked being the center of attention. I wouldn't last a week! Good thing I have zero talent! 😂
Harket is 100 percent correct....Fame changes you completely and you are never again able to conduct business as you once did. We all see the glamorous side but never do we see the things you lose in that transfer process. Be careful lest you get what you ask for.!...Fame does have another more darker side.
Yea exactly since I first went on holidays with my parents in mid 80's like- France, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Denmark, they speak really good English in general
well he look more like Josh Hartnett to me. If someone says its his brother i will believe it wkwkwk 😆, his name also sounds the same Harket - Hartnett get it 😝
I’m 70 and listened to it when the everly brothers sang it in the 1960s. And Morton does it as emotional wonderfully awesome ❤️ from Little Rock Arkansas USA
A-ha should have never split up...THEY ARE LEGENDARY GROUP...I hope they re-unite again....people who were not born in 80s may not understand how huge these bands were and how much classic their songs were..and are still.
If they'd bothered to listen to Morten at one point he mentions working with Sneddon...that was David Sneddon who once won a music programme competition in this country...always wondered where he went.
Are those hosts actually paid for their "work"? This does not seem to be of BBC quality to me.. it's actually embarrasing to watch this graceless display of ineptitude.. Kudos to Mr. Harket for enduring this onslaught of ignorance..
yes this was very painful to watch, morten already looked exhausted anyways from whatever, man, this was the STALEST 'interview' I'm really surprised morten didn't just kindly walk off, this one HAS to be in the books among the many horrid 'interviews' the set was assault on the eyes, the interviewers were 1st graders, morten may as well have interviewed himself, these two dweebs were horrible, it's like they are basic math students trying to explain calculus to someone already well versed in it-what an ass backwards-morten could easily have interviewed them-his person, charisma, intellect clearly superior to those two combined..............what a waste of his time
Sadly, regular viewers of Breakfast like myself can confirm this is absolutely typical of the programme. The quality is diabolical and it's not even limited to Breakfast any more, the entire BBC News service is getting to be like this. It's unwatchable.
me too, i love their songs for being genuinely amazing songs!! i have a long list of favourite songs. its just that ther are some people who will see members of the band and think they like the music because of the way the look.
i would assume it is more because the interviewer wasn't really asking specific questions to him (especially the man who is doing the interviewing). They were actually at some points in the interview was stating a fact or an observation without asking anything specific. Maybe indirectly, hoping for Morten to comment on it. But for me, i wouldn't blame him not knowing what to answer either if there is no questions attached to the statement presented to him.
Having watched this interview, it makes you wonder whether the researchers writing these interview questions have any brain cells that are actually working, it's doubtful given the ridiculous nature of some of the questions here!! I don't know why Morten doesn't just release his music and tell the record company that he isn't going to do any promo other than select live performances of whatever single he is promoting!! I can't believe he gets up in the morning and looks forward to this charade!
Why these people insist in the idea that a-ha is an 80´s band? that's crap. Of course that they have put a deep mark on that decade´s pop culture, but it transcences. they are an all time band, like Depeche Mode, or Erasure or U2, they are a link in the Beatles chain
I thought maybe he isn't human and an android of a perfect man, then I saw he's slightly balding on top so maybe he is human, but maybe that was made on purpose to fool us.
Love you Morten !! I remember when I was a young girl age 14 , I have a picture of you on my bed table :-))) I just loved your music at that time and your hair !! you still look so good, . tak care , huggs from Denmark
