First off, big BIG congratulations. This is the only direct and easy to follow exercises for MN that I've discovered on line. I will follow for a couple of weeks and feed back Second, you guys come over as caring and authentic, which is healing in itself. It's true your video is a bit, shall we say 'clunky' in places - like the captions get in the way a bit etc - butthe video works, its memorable, and I want to do what you suggest. So you now have a fan in Oxford, England who has subscribed. And if the exercises work, I'll be a Superfan!!

Thanks for taking the time to write. Yes. We are still figuring out how to make our RU-vid’s more professional but are excited to share what has been successful in our clinic with people online. Thanks for watching. Keep us posted.

You can move the position of the captions with your cursor so they're not blocking the foot demonstration. You may need to hold the click button as you drag your cursor.

Heh, I actually have Morton's and if I tried to do that last exercise, I think I'd snap my tendons. Watching perfectly limber and nimble toes going back and forth no restricted motion or pain isn't exactly how it works in reality.

Thank you for the comment! We have a couple of different videos up for Morton's neuroma, this video has some more gentle methods: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zc3UrB-OvqE.html You can check out this video on Morton's as well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W0MgZYsIqrw.html

I’ve been told specifically to NOT bend my toes as this pushes the metatarsals together more to further trap the nerve and irritate it. I have bunions and a Morton’s toe, so genetic reasons for flat over pronation. Also been told to wear strong shoes that do not bend at toe, so something like crocs. Just walking in good foot wear with orthotics that were made for me ( so not ‘off the shelf’) hurts after being on my feet for a hour. Also used to be able to practice yoga and now it seems that’s out due to the toe bending 😢 I’m at a loss as like to stay active ( I’m only in my early 60’s)! Any helpful suggestions?
@ProActiveChiro
@ProActiveChiro Год назад
First off, that sounds so frustrating. I'm sorry. When you say you've specifically been told I assume you mean by a doctor you trust. What we're sharing in this video is some of the most common home fixes. If your provider gave you different recommendations based on the specifics of your case I would follow those recommendations. With that said, if you've been following their suggestions for a few months and it's not improving I'd strongly encourage you to find a great sports practitioner near you to dig into the specifics of what's going on and help you stay active. I find too often specialists don't understand what's an acceptable recovery and activity level, as that varies for each person. We have two other Morton's videos (listed in the video description) which may help round out your understanding of the anatomy and footwear and the home exercises you can try within the advice you've already received.

Thanks for the feedback. The exercises aren't for everyone so definitely listen to your body but Morton's can affect people of all ages so I'm just offering the exercises I see work with our patients. We have a few other videos with different exercises if you want to check those alternatives out.

Hi! I hope someone notices me 😢. I have this feeling of like-pebble/rock under my toes and sometimes when I’m walking barefoot it makes like a cracking sound. And when I go for walks with my kids, the ball of my feet will start to numb and then it gets very very painful like a burning pain to the point that I can’t walk or I don’t walk normally because of the pain. I’m seeing a chiropractor now and we’re doing laser therapy, we did 6 therapy already but I haven’t felt any difference at all. She said it’s more likely a plantar fasciitis and definitely not morton’s neuroma. What do you think is this base on my symptoms?
@ProActiveChiro
@ProActiveChiro Год назад
That’s super frustrating. Laser is sometimes extremely helpful but not always but most importantly I’m glad you found someone you trust. Did you watch our newer Morton’s video (in the video description above)? It talks a bit more through the diagnosis and treatment options. It’s difficult to second guess that chiropractor remotely but that video gives you info to ask her a few questions about other potential treatment options and discusses footwear which is huge. I hope you feel better soon. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Everyone is different but in general, we recommend 12-20 reps or until it feels like you are cramping or there is any pain you've done too many. Great question.

I really hope you can reply to my question. I've been trying to search online and figure out if I have morton’s neuroma. It's been 3-4 weeks now that all 5 toes and the ball of foot area on both feet feel weird, as if the skin in these area are thickened. But there's no pain at all. Is this Morton's neuroma?
@ProActiveChiro
@ProActiveChiro 2 года назад
That's not a common description of Morton's. It's super hard to diagnose when the symptoms are less common via RU-vid so this one is tricky enough it would make sense for you to see a specialist (sports podiatrist, sports chiropractor, sports PT) to do a real exam and determine if that's the cause. In the meantime, these exercises might help it and won't hurt so maybe start there if you haven't.

hello! Thank you so much about this video! So I have Morton's Neuroma mainly on my left foot. It appears when I started running and I was wearing my old and as it seems really bad shoes. In your opinion will I be able to run, long runs (like a marathon) with the suitable shoes, the suggested exercises and streching ect? Or if I have the neuroma I won't be able to be a runner anymore? Maybe choose (with a heavy heart 😒) another activity ?
@ProActiveChiro
@ProActiveChiro 2 года назад
I don’t think you will have to stop running. Check out our newer video on Morton’s where we discuss footwear. I’m optimistic you’ll be back to marathon training.

I’m sorry you have such a severe case @nikih.3 That’s the difficult part of RU-vid, we just put out the things that work the best for the most people but as you mentioned we can’t customize it for severity. I hope you find someone who can evaluate your situation and help you through it and get back to moving and playing pain free.
