I remember helping 12C build a bridge before, that was very stressful and laborious. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have to build a bridge under enemy fire.
@@dmitze01 50th Engineer Company was in Uijong-bu, Korea, but they were transferred to Fort Leonard Wood in May, 2005 they were the only MRBC Unit in Korea(i know that because i was assigned to that unit at that time)
@@protectherrbodyessentials3146 Don't be nervous. It's a good place. Kinda out in the middle of BFE Kansas though. Lake of the Ozarks are near and Kansas City & St. Louis are like 2 - 3 hour drives.
@@MUSIC10.7 depends on most (your job), how many years of your life you're willing to sacrifice, the component you join (active, guard, reserve, etc), when you join (sometimes time of year effects, usually october is good), if you're a citizen of the U.S. etc
@@MUSIC10.7 big heads up, if you do join for a bonus, it can be finicky on when you receive it AND if you get in trouble to where they plan to kick you out prematurely, you may end up owing some or ALL of that bonus back
David Shtempel it has its ups and downs. Not gonna lie, I do miss being in the military. I didn’t type OSUT, because I wasn’t sure if people would understand.
ATC JR Ah yea makes sense. Well im getting a 20k bonus plus other, and i know that its more than the normal bonus but im wondering if the heavy labor is worth it..?
Leaving for this in March to Leanorwood. Army reserves 15k bonus, 40k slrp & Gi Bill. Can still pursue my career as an Electrician while doing this once a month
Anyones recently in 12C. Im scheduling my MEPs here soon and was curious what it was like now. I would love 12N more, but sadly isnt available right now, thought jobs do come and go
21B here. Would have liked to be a C but there were no bridging units close. 116th EN BN, 116th Combat Brigade, then C & A Co's, 70th RSC. And yes, 12B do build bridges. We just have a tendency to blow them up afterwards! LOL! 😂😂😂
@zeuzy2845 honestly, I think it depends on your first impressions you give off to your platoon. You'll usually know withing the first few weeks at your unit if you'll be in boats, interior bays, ramps, or in a hq section. Just got to show what you know on the boats to be in boats ya know

What are the chances of getting deployed to the Shattered Plains?😂 I would totally join this MOS just to tell my Stormlight loving friends that I was a real Bridgeboy!
big chungus you’re limited to about 4 state side bases unless you’re attached to a Stryker unit, don’t get me wrong the work is easy but shit is boring especially when you’re not out training.
