I have always wondered how these beautiful rolls are made. Thank you for showing us how it is done, and for making me believe that it might be possible for me to do myself!
OMG- I went to Marbella for vacation in the summer- I went on a tour bus that took us throughout southern Spain. We went to Seville, Madrid, Marbella, and more places. It was gorgeous!!! I loved it there!😊
Ingenioso..Creativo, para lucirse en la mesa.., pero hay que tener harta habilidad, tiempo y paciencia...Felicitaciones a este joven..gracias por compartir su arte..saludos
I definitely should give this a try. Sure as hell I will make a mess at first but this is so awesome I think it deserves the practice it requires. Love you videos man!
+Moopy is best moop Most definitely! When I come home from the fish market I end up making toro sashimi to feed the addiction instead of taking time to make nigiri...
Ieva Marija I don't think people realize the sushi he is making is ruining the texture of how sushi is supposed to be eaten. There's a reason went it's cut and placed in a certain way to enhance the flavor. For example, a tri tip js cut at an angle for a reason.. smh
who on earth would throw that "access" away? oh, yeah... apparently the whole world does. eat it, for gods sake, its food. Who said food's supposed to look awesome every time? Good video tho and very nice sushi roll inspiration
idk hipster After this guy shows you how to make perfect Sushi the only remark you post is....OMG can you imagine? He said eat it or throw it away. Is that all you got out of this video? Unbelievable!
These are great, I'm encouraged to try at home. You could augment this sushi to look like a companion cube by using 3 pieces of tuna to make the heart.
Very nice!! I only recently started making sushi for my family on the weekends even though I've currently only mastered basic uramaki California rolls. Wonder if I should go ahead and try this lol
+How To Make Sushi Hey, I don't want to ask a stupid question but I am just curious... are you an actual trained sushi chef? or are you just a chef and not considered a "sushi" chef? just asking :D
I invented sushi and this design is legit. Only issue I could find is this particular type of sushi was a bit floppy. But I'm a perfectionist so I think I'm just being over cautious.
I learned to close sushi rolls by putting a few drops of water on the little flap at the end, rather than mushing the sushi rice. Is there any difference between the two ways?
that cutting process was one of the most stressful things i've ever watched lol I was sure it was going to fall apart after all that work.....but this is so beautiful I can't wait to try it!!!!!
Yes I should have... That would have been funny. The weird coincidence is im answering this message from the top of that same mountain with the youtube creator app :)
Nada melhor do que reunir a galera pra um cineminha e depois ir ao Mc Donald's. Só que não, que tal fazer diferente e experimentar a culinária japonesa e sua Cultura.
Great vid man. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm a chef myself and all these haters on here are just jealous or just too dumb to realize something great when they see it.
Thank you Gilbey! To be honest didn't notice too many haters and that wouldn't phase me anyway I would continue to do things the way I like to do them regardless of other peoples opinions. How long have you been a chef? And where if you don't mind me asking?
***** Thats the right attitude man! I've been on/off as a chef for around 16 years now. I hate saying "Chef" as I've never owned my own kitchen tbh. I started back home in the UK and now I'm living in Canada. A friend of mine owns a "British themed Pub- currently working on a menu for him- something a little different but traditional......But not cooking in it tho....Taking a break from the Heat lol.... You?
Not for myself. My tastes are pretty simple and traditional. Sashimi, nigiri. But I will quite possibly make it for a customer the next time someone says "I dunno, make me something."
I trained under a Japanese chef in his restaurant in a little town in southeast Tennessee. I now work for a company called Genji. Very different from being behind the board in a restaurant, but it keeps me doing what I love.
I love Sushi and need too lose weight. Going to get the items I need for basic Sushi making. Think I will start with a simple version, Then after I get the hang of it, I will watch your video again and try the Mosaic. It looks so cool! Thank you for sharing your technique on Sushi.
the roll is quite cool(a bit loose though), but you could have just stayed in the kitchen. or do i have to go on a high cliff looking badass to get the same result? D:
I don't understand how a video gets 1.7 million views and you only have 418K subscribers? Something is wrong. I love the channel, great work! Cheers, Rich NY, USA
leefuji It still wasn't cutting as well as it should be. Personally I haven't used the Henkle range of Japanese knives and tend to carbon steel over stainless as a rule.
Emilia Cermisoni Be prepared to not get it right in the first place :D [I made a mess first couple of times, but then it was done at home as an experiment... and had a not so sharp knife]
I fancy myself as a short order cook. This is waaaay above my skill lvl. I may have been in error assuming you are as unskilled as I am. But do make sure you have a very sharp knife. If not a Japanese cook knife, or Japanese pattern welded like Chef Deveaux, at least a high carbon steel one. It makes a lot of difference.
+Mx Loco I guess like any specialty there are niches that the commoner like me doesn't see. From my ignorance is bliss view, I loved this and tried to do it but failed. I wish I could make some good sushi.
