If you look up the lap record of every major racetrack in the world and calculate the average speed you will find that Mosport is something like the 4th fastest racetrack in the world. Not to mention corner 2; a daunting double apex blind off camber butt clencher that commands respect... feels good when you nail it (i wouldn't know). I saw Manfred Winkelhock crash at the bottom of 2 in the 1980's. He didn't make it. (He was an f1 driver). Another world class facility is Calabogie Motorsport Park in Ottawa. This is a must ride if you've never experienced it. The speedo info is actually data captured from a very accurate 10hz GPS receiver, about $70. You mount it on the tail of the bike and it transmits your GPS co-ordinates via bluetooth to your smartphone. GPS data captured at 10hz by Qstarz bt-q818xt GPS receiver, transmitted via Bluetooth to LG G3 Android Phone running RaceChrono App. To synch and show the data on a video use RaceRender 3.0.9
