Nah, people have been doing this way before Covid happened. I mean have you seen some of the things people have built with LEGO? There are some crazy builds at LEGO conventions. With the quarantine, they’ve just had a lot more time on their hands to build new things.

I was gonna say you don't need to be rich if you got lots of lego but then I remembered all the custom parts these need. However, you can still make lots of cool stuff with just lego motors and such, as Brick Experiments Channel has proven.

You can get a large amount of specific pieces by buying them one by one on a specific market, or simply buy a large official set like the 42055 or 42054 then take the parts from them !

I'm a little concerned about the assembly line robot at the end. If Lego's are able to self replicate, then what is to stop them from forming Lego based life? They could replace us as the dominant species on the planet. Or I could just take this opportunity to welcome our new brick overlords and ask if they need a sellout.

as a person that runs 3d printers, I don't understand why he didn't just make it with a marlin motherboard and run it like any other marlin based machine with proper cad for it
