He probably threw in some excessive MMA moves after she was restrained so the cops and shop decided best to pretend there is no footage so the hero doesn’t get charged too
Imagine being desperate and stupid enough to try and rob a gas station, plus also having the misfortune of choosing the same place Nick went for his morning coffee
Seriously, a lot of gas station cashiers keep guns on them, AND it's not like you're gonna get rich robbing one. Can't imagine they have more than a few hundred dollars in a register at a time
Is this gonna turn out like that hitchhiker Kai where he seems like an eccentric hero and then a few months later he turns out to just be a crazy murderer, lol.
He had an ulterior motive, the real reason he bagged that criminal was so he could get to his morning coffee. After he got his coffee, he rode his pet tiger to go hunt for breakfast
I'd say the Aussie interview with the guy describing how he stopped a driver that crashed into his mates mom's diner and the old guy describing a dog that attacked him are right up there as well.
the mma move is what really got me lol he fully committed to throwing his ass at the floor, when he wasn't in danger and could've just described what he did lol i love it, he's fantastic
"his iron-tight grip only interrupted by police 5 minutes later" Oh my lord can you imagine being held in a grapple by this absolute machine for a full 5 minutes? That's insane
All jokes aside, guy bravely intervened in a heated situation and saved the owners from incurring financial loss. He deserves all the acclaim he’s getting! Props!
He's been waiting for this opportunity all his life and when it was presented to him, he "went for glory" and could finally use his MMA moves he visualised so often. Pure Gold.
Actually he is acting. I would like to see movies with guys like him starring. Not with people who swim in self-gratification. We have too much of those in real life. I don't need to see the same model everywhere...
@Ke baX If it makes you feel any better I avoid alcoholics too. I didn't say he's a drug user. I said learn the signs of drug ABUSE. A-B-U-S-E. Smart people avoid drug abusers to the best of their ability.
She knows her job. Don’t walk away from your post. Her job is to man the pumps at the cash register. And she’s doing her job by sticking to it. That’s a good employee.
I met an Australian on a bus. A guy stole his backpack and ran off. No hesitation, the 65 year guy jumped the railing and was right after him. Two minutes later he was back and so were the cops. Legend.
Lots of Aussie guys at a young age in their early twenties turn to drugs where i live. Most of them lose their teeth by the time they’re 23. They usually quit and go cold turkey but end up looking like him later in life.
I totally get how casual she is, though; every retail store has a couple of regular customers like this guy. They may be oddballs, but they're some of the most loyal, decent people you'll ever meet. You eventually get used to their eccentricities, and are like, _"oh, that's just Nick being Nick."_
Guy is just living his best life, seems like a happy chap regardless of strange personality - he done an amazing deed and could have lost his life (if it were a real gun of course - he didnt know at the time!), more people should be like this guy. Selfless and humble.
I'm glad it worked out but I don't think risking being shot was worth the couple hundred dollars, especially if the store is insured (probably is). Better to just let the police handle it. But yeah he's a good, if slightly reckless, guy. Glad he's ok lol
In all honesty, this guy has probably envisioned this very moment hundreds of times in his head. Would explain his honed cat like reflexes and keen situational awareness.
I remember working in a video store in my youth and we had a couple of customers like this. At first I was a little frightened because they obviously had some form of mental illness and were very intense but once I got to know them they were the nicest most compassionate people.
i don't think nick has a mental illness. he's eccentric and clearly lives his life according to his own tune. characters like this are very entertaining. guaranteed, he doesn't work an office job which requires him to work in a cubicle, wear a suit and be a square!
@@msbutterflyz Could just be a personality trait. Type 2 ASD or some other personality type that hasn't been diagnosed that Nick has somehow found a way to cope with, still has all the crazy impulsive behaviour most of us keep in check, but has found a way to make it work! Still, those teef tho...
Weeeeeell... (inhale) if you call being packed off to a remote colony because they need bodies and you're poor and the London streets are too cramped so disease and polution is a real problem so they shanghai you through absurd kangaroo (fnar) courts for 'supposedly' nicking a scarf or bread or whatever because it's the cheapest way to reduce population and start a new colony on the other side of the planet, then sure, let's go with "dangerous criminal blood".
@@masondegaulle5731 I completely agree with you, which is surprising because, "Australia is entirely peopled with criminals, and criminals are used to having people not trust them, as you are not trusted by me".
I thought at first that they brought the suspect back to reenact how they robbed a store, and it wasn't until I saw him shaking the clerks hand that I realized that he wasn't an unhinged criminal, and actually an unhinged keeper of peace.
I love that Nick is in the background loudly BSing with the store owners while the reporter struggles to wrap her story. For Nick, being on TV is not the main event. It is simply enough to just be Nick.
Here in Edmonton we had a guy dousing vehicles with gasoline then setting them on fire. He then went into a Starbucks where an Australian man in a Hawaiian shirt tackled him to the ground in the Starbucks so the cops could arrest him. We now have Hawaiian Shirt guy as a local hero here.😂
I swear every video of an interview in Australia is 'the most Australian interview ever'. It would be refreshing to see 'the second most Australian interview ever' once in a while
Fair play to this gentleman, put his life on the line. That was his moment. Like people said below, this is his time to shine, his one big shot - and he nailed it.
