The MH-60L DAP (Defensive Armed Penetrator) adds to an already existing lineup at 11.3, but is it worth "Replacing" the AH-1Z?

@@stggcsubcommanderseb4384Blackhawks are easy to take down. The DAP is quite a rare sight to see. I have 160th right where I work and I've yet to see a single one outfitted with the DAP package

Door gunners would be sick, I was hoping the hueys would have them, you could start out with .50 cals and can research M134s and they’d shoot at aircraft coming close to you or if you flew over the battlefield they would try to shoot at tanks.

Dude yes.... And if you had the ability to shoot in first person on each bomber it would help aiming A TON , And PVE Heli battles would be sick seeing door gunners start shooting the 105mm recoiless guys lol

But I think it had the MAW on its modifications when I checked yesterday??? I might be mistaking it with the IRCM, but I'll have to see it again. About the gunpods, I want to think they removed them for some bug or something, it's so weird that they mentioned them on the devblog and then they're suddenly gone.

@@jfv2312 nope.. it has IRCM but not the MAW. And about the gunpods don't worry.. they were very quick to "correct" the devblog and it doesn't say anything about the guns anymore.

As much as I love helicopters, US helis are pretty lame, different helicopter but pretty much the exact same armament, stingers and hellfires… there’s really nothing making US helis either good or unique.

i will say this-blackhawk is fun but it should have the 30mm gunpods and maw that was originally mentioned on the devblog before the devs doctored it and removed it. if/when it gets the gunpods it should have i belive this heli will come into its own MUCH better

Hi Justin, try binding your key to Manuall roll control mode. It will make your heli more agile to rolls giving you better control and you can stay angled. I found it great when going with pure rocket pods ground pounding in the beggining of the match or when I hover manually from far away.

I mean if we're talking about guns/cannons for the MH-60, the DAP can actually mount the M320 30mm Chain gun thats on the Apache as a pylon option Personally, im surprised that Gaijin didn't add the M320 mount to it, would've been pretty good to have

I hope they fully lean into the fanservice and give it the pintle mount miniguns (which can be locked forward for pilot control), add the M230 chain gun to the inner left pylon, and dynamically scale the wings to the short or long versions depending on how many pylons you occupy in your custom loadout (or remove them entirely if you choose to fly clean like they did with a lot of other Helis).

The MH-60L DAP was supposed to have a 30mm chain gun according to its dev blog but they just- seemingly *forgot* to give the DAP the gun.

a heads up for any CAS, check the anti-air guns on heli pads to see if anyone is hiding. Just follow where the guns are shooting and sometimes its a free kill.

Hey Justin, I was honestly waiting for the video to see if I was going to be in it and I was! I was the Mirage F1 that you shot down, funny enough I didn't notice you were in my game and I did hear the sound of your helicopter, I just didn't see you in time because I was worried the SPAA will shoot me down before I found the Helo. Cheers regardless of shooting me down, keep up the vids!

I’m not sure about other helis but Russian helis with rocket runs can be really fun, lock someone with the camera and use that as an aim point for your rockets at start of a match, can really mess up the other teams start

Gaijin changing the Devblog for this after the fact is just plain scummy. Originally, it said that the Blackhawk was going to both the US & Israel, but now only the Us is getting it. What's more, it's missing some of the loadouts it had on the Dev Server, such as the AN/AAR-54 MAW, plus the M230 chain gun and the 7.62/12.7mm minigun pods.

Currently grinding for this helicopter, this is my dream heli along with the AH64D to go rampant in with VR and HOTAS. It’s just a whole different vibe. Long ways away however.

They buffed Type 93 and Strelas, they can target helis at 2-3+ km away now. Other heatseekers might be better, too.

You mentioned at the beginning that you died to an r-60 and I remember killing a Blackhawk in my su22m3 using an r-60 so it was probably me :3 I’ll have to check my replays though

That turret at around 4:50 was NuTZzzzz the thing launched longer than 2 football fields Plus I thought they fixed that ripple firing and the first ATGM would veer off from the actual target point.

its hellfire IIs which is the reason it got pushed to 11.3, you can tell the difference because IIs have 1200mm pen and the other 1100mm pen. i wish they gave it the 11000mm pen ones so it can be pushed down to 11.0

Hey Justin, I got this thing yesterday... however, this is by far the worst 11.3 for stock grinding, she's quite heavy yet no armor... big ass fuel tanks that doesnt self-seal well... wiggly aim when using rockets. But I had fun with it by grinding the modifications.

the hellfire has an 8km range. dont sit 2km away from your targets and you might get to use slightly more of that fuel

Not sure why its 11.3 when the apache at the same br can carry stingers as well as the 4 pylons but the black hawk cannot and doesn't have that 30mm 11.0 would make more sense no?

The ordinance is pretty much exactly the same thing as the rest of the American Helicopters that are in any high-level spot. Would be great if they actually gave the American Heli the ATGMs they really can carry and the distance they get the AGM-114L "Longbow Hellfire", radar-guided .....

get the longbow, gives u more awareness with the radar they put a new gimmick for the longbow radar (senses movement in ground targets) and longbow tends to live longer than blackhawk

US uh60 should be 10.7 MAX, along with the HSTVL, M1IP and M1A1 A6E needs to go back down to 10.3 along with the A10A-L, and the AH-1W

It should get it's guns later which will at least put it equal capability to the apaches and 1z at its be And none of the American helis have armor, the seats don't help
