Train tickets from Colombo fort to Batticaloa are 3000 Rs for each person in a first-class A/C apartment. you have to book tickets months in advance. The journey takes 7:30 hours to arrive at Batticaloa. If you visit Batticaloa you can experience another different level of cultural and spiritual moments there peoples are very kind and very hospitable. Don't forget to enjoy passikuda beach because it is one of the most astonishing beaches in Sri Lanka.
