6:57 There's an obscure mechanic where if you're locked in your shield for 10 or more consecutive hits you can input a dodge or roll and cancel shieldstun. And when you do that, the dodge/roll is frame 1 intangible. This means the Ken could have frame 1 intangible rolled in to avoid the forward smash. Unfortunately the Ken player didn't know this.

Yeah but fSmash charge doesn't lock you into a true block string, so you'll always get a regular not-frame-one invul roll and get hit by the multihit

@@neidenMetalunbut it is possible to just let yourself get hit by the sour spot of the Fsmash, which is better than getting shield broken.

@@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies True, at 100% and stuck on the edge of the platform it would've maybe been optimal to let go of shield immediately and try to sdi up and in to try to avoid the release hit before it became fully charged (and probably killed?) but who's reacting that fast lol

@@neidenMetalun I've never fought an experienced Corrin in my life because I don't do elite smash, let alone competitive, but I'm having trouble believing that what you described requires insane reaction timing. Like, as far as I'm concerned, Corrin's Fsmash charging up can only combo into the sour spot when the opponent literally doesn't SDI at all.

@@YoshiAteTooManyYoshiCookies yeah reading it back maybe I didn't get my point across too well lol I mentioned reaction times for in the case you were to let yourself get hit by the charging multihit right as it started, you can sdi up in to either - avoid the release hit completely - force them into releasing at half charge before you fall out, probably living If you don't react and sit in shield too long, fully charged sourspot might just kill anyway, if you're stuck on the edge of the plat I'm pretty sure you're just checkmated

@@Beast_the_smash_guy if we get technical (and ignoring the possible stale moves) normally the full charge smash + crit does around 60%. So technically if it was a crit then it would do anything adobe that amount due to the buff (which didn't happen) Also, i don't remember that much of the game, so I apologize for anything wrong.
