I have had two Firestone airbags on my chevy Colorado fail. They look exactly like the ones you're showing. One just had a tear show up ant the other looked like he had rubbed raw on the inside of the bag fold. I had to remove it to fully expand the bag and see the damage.

After watching a lot of off road suspension videos, which just so happen to be pretty much Aussie dominated, I've noticed that the hosts of these videos sound a bit South African to my Yank ear. I hypothesize that Aussies from the outback sound like Afrikaners because it's jointly a Backcountry English accent.
