Out in the Absaroke Beartooth Wilderness, the Chopper Cam is in full operation and it does not disappoint! Watch Chopper dive under water and try to pick up a rock for himself- I couldn't believe it when I watched the footage for the first time myself! So, on this rockhounding adventure, I am in the Absaroka Mountain Range with Dennis, my husband, and Chopper (the Beartooth Mountains). I have a certain spot I like to hike around that has these unbelievable conglomerates beautifully tumbled by the river. This area has a rich volcanic history and there are also lots of basalt rocks and agates, or agate filled conglomerates!!!! I also see lots of rocks containing iron and oxidized copper minerals. Check out the Chopper cam as I am sure he was on the lookout for grizzly bears and other wildlife, there are grizzly tracks everywhere in the sand (I tried to point them out for you in the video).
