Run your pedalboard in mono, dual mono, stereo, wet dry or wet dry wet. All without patching.
Magic?
Possibly.
How does it work?
By separating your pedalboard into a dry section (overdrives, distortion, compressor etc) and a modulation / wet section (chorus, delay, reverb etc) we can use this WDW Junction to route your signal in a number of exciting - Yes, exciting - ways.
This junction has a dedicated Dry, Left (wet) and Right (wet) output. Since you can use 1, 2 or 3 of these outputs independently or simultaneously it means you can choose to route your board in any number of ways.
Furthermore you can mute your dry output (for instant access to ambient sounds) and use a master mute to kill all signal leaving your pedalboard.
The Master Mute is great for tuning silently or changing guitars quickly and quietly.

this is awesome, if pressing on one switch mutes the dry, another switch mutes the wet, and when pressing on both - it mutes completely. that would be an awesome feature

We've done this in our custom shop before and could alter this one to do the same for a slight additional fee. Thanks for your feedback!

How much? I feel Like that should just be a feature? I’d like to go from dry on and wets on/off to be honest.

This seems great, thank you. Question: is there any way to route the stereo outs from the stereo effects you show here through this, so that, e.g. panning delays, tremolos, etc. will still pan! Cheers.
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio 2 года назад
I think I might be a bit confused...but in short (if I'm understanding), yes! Lets say your wet effects are Delay and verb... From your verb (stereo) plug into the left and right input of this box and out to your amps. The only this to note is that summing is not a perfect solution. If you have a panning trem for example and sum it, it won't perfectly sum. It will diminish. This isn't the case for delay and verb, but certain effects don't sum well. Panning trem being one. We put in two types of summing for this exact reason. You can choose the one that best suits your effects.

Hello , a question , i first see your video tutorial about all the " mode" ( mono, stereo, dual mono, pseudo WD, Pseudo WDW, Traditional WD, Tradiotional WDW), it's was very interesting , i had learn a lot with it , nervertheless if understand well, here we have a "pseudo" WDW ? que can't used wet effect in parallel in "kill dry mode " ?
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio 2 года назад
Correct! This box is for Pseudo WDW rigs. If you got a separate splitter / mixer, you could insert that between the send to wet effects and stereo return though and then use this box with parallel wet effects.

What if I want to feed my wet pedals with the signal of my dry amp "FX loop send" (after preamp)? I asked that because I really enjoy the preamp sounds of my dry amp and I don't want to run it 100% clean using only pedals before it for overdrives and distortion (I have my highgain tones from the preamp section of my amp). In this case, I believe I have to add to your juction box a signal splitter/doubler in the "FX loop send" of my dry amp and one output I feed the wet pedals (and don't use the "To.Wet" output of your junction box) and the another one the "FX loop return" of my dry amp. Am I right? thanks
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio Год назад
very doable. Ya, you could go from the "FX Send of your amp if you wanted to use the preamp only and send that to the wet effects or you could get a splitter at the FX send of your amp...one side goes to the FX return the other to the wet effects. a few options here... but you're correct in that you don't want to use the "TO wet". We can also do a pretty simple mod to add this functionality into the WDW box that would give you 'all of the above' as routing options (pedals feeding wet OR pre-amp feeding wet) without re-patching the board. happy to chat more - info@goodwoodaudio.com

I really like my heads dirty channel. Can I use a shur or bray line out box to use that signal for the input? Connect all my wet effects to pass through for the right and left amps?
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio 5 месяцев назад
we actually now ship the WDW box with an added FX send (so you can use it with 4CM, 5CM or the suhr line out box (as an example)...then you can run a cab sim at the end - like GFI Cabzeus or into other power amps!

Are there any extra input for external expression pedal, if not can it be modify? so i can add an expression pedal to the board whenever i need.

Depending on the size of the box we can sometimes add features like that. It really depends if you get isoaltion / XLR outputs etc. That all takes up room on the box. Feel free to email us at info@goodwoodaudio.com if you have any questions and we can look into it for you!

Is there an ideal place where to put this thing at on your pedalboard? Im trying to figure out where Im going to put it. Thanks!
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio 2 года назад
Depends a bit on the amps you're going to use (real amps or amp and cab sim OR a combo of both.) In a typical 3 amp setup (real amps), this box would take care of the guitar input (beginning), dry amp output (after last dry effect) and stereo wet outputs (after last wet effect). But there are other configurations you could use as well... You could do the dry split at the beginning so your wet amps get more clean into the wet effects! email me if you have more questions. info@goodwoodaudio.com

Do you need to use the input and board output on this? Or can you just run your dry effects straight into the dry in?
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio Год назад
it's modular. so you can use any section independently of the others... So no issues with your suggestion!

Where would the hx stomp be in this chain if i were to use it as an amp?
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio 2 года назад
Theres no single answer here... If you wanted it global (amp sim on all channels) I'd put it right before the dry input. If you wanted it on only wet and the dry out goes to a real tube amp (sounds amazing this way) then I'd put it at the start of your wet chain. Some people people it at the end of their wet chain right before the stereo returns on the WDW box. Both are good options and I just suggest doing the one that sounds best to you!

@@GoodwoodAudio Do you also build WDW box that goes underneath the pedalboard?
@GoodwoodAudio
@GoodwoodAudio 2 года назад
@@banoffee6495 we would have to custom build something. The downside is there is typically not enough room to do the same size box (often has to be smaller) which means we often can't fit all of the features unless we do it across 2 boxes. Happy to chat options and features that would best suit you! feel free to email - info@goodwoodaudio.com

Quick question, if I put my hxstomp at the start of the wet signal, will I be able to still use it for the dry signal to hit the amp/cab sim, i love the idea of using real tube amp for the dry but on some occasion i might want it through hx stomp amp/cab sim

Does this box buffer the signal?

It does! In multiple spots actually. Beginning, middle and end of the chain.
