This is EXACTLY WHY teenagers shouldn't be debuting. They get overworked, sexualized, education taken from them, don't understand their contract agreements and rights and so many other issues. I hate how normalized it's become. Props to companies that debut all young adults bc this is so messed up.

@@chatoyeant No, it would be best to be 18, because by then not only they're considered adults(which takes away certain issues of having minors in a group), but by then they would probably already be finished with school and such and, perhaps, be more prepared for the hardship of becoming an idol. Also, 17 is that transitional period that is messy as heck, 18 would at least be a guarantee or some certainty.
I prefer of idol debut at least minimum age is 20+ Because I feel like 18 and 19 is still too early for Idol because.they have to mentally prepared for the public and that age is still early to me and it's better for them to debut on20+ It's better than debut at underage age.

I know. But Korean entertainment companies sees those kind of things as "controversial" and "image ruining". That's why Korean celebrities aren't allowed to speak up for what they believe in, even if they wanted to.
Nothing wrong with miyeon's drama, teenage sexuality is a topic that's still seen as taboo but there's nothing wrong with it, teaching teens about it is the right thing to do to make sure everyone is safe and healthy
the company busters was under was little horrible. not only were they oversexualized but also had a huge ssg problem. i believe this problem was the reason yeseo left the group because one even followed her through a dark alleyway and took photos the entire time
@@mobina1248 happily she has left the group and company but the other members are still in the company and active on youtube,but they hadn't had a comeback for more than 1 year now. i like them but i wish they disband and get out of that shitty company.

Hes been doing a TON of interviews recently talking openly about where hes at, and he said hes in a really good place right now! Next year hes going to start twitch streaming again, hes working on raising funds to release a solo album (why his company isn't funding it though 👀), and he just generally feels excited to start doing stuff again after a 2 year hiatus 💙 He recently performed at Head in the Clouds in LA as part of the DPR set!
So many fans of (G)I-DLE said this is a great time to Miyeon to shine. We never questioned the fact that Miyeon wanna do these kind of dramas or not. We just enjoy her acting bc we like her and her acting. (G)I-DLE and Neverlands had a hard time back then so we just wanna see the members happy lol
Miyeon is an idol and an ACTRESS. It's just a role in a drama and that role/character she's portrating doesn't define who she really is irl. Knetz still complainin abt anything and everything again.
Exactly and besides, she's a grown-ass woman who is capable to make decisions for herself so it's really disturbing how people think that idols will forever be a bunch of innocent saints who knows no such thing. Maybe this is why they hate seeing her in shows like this

Of the Big Three, I feel like JYP loves to sit on their talent the most. SM let’s their artist do as they want as long as they can get a cut and YG loves their dungeon, but they still give more creative control and opportunities to produce. JYP on the other hand will keep you to your contract and then ignore your existence if your not what they want at the moment. I’m really concerned for their groups with their plans on releasing so many groups in the next two years. Stray Kids and ITZY might be big now, but look at how GOT7 was treated as JYP had other things to focus on. And TWICE don’t get a lot of focus; JYP basically expect the fans to just be there already and don’t do much to grow the fan base or even renew their interest. The constant shutting down of their artist talent if it’s not something they like or “vibe with” is getting old.
What do you mean Twice don't get a lot of focus? They've had like 5 comebacks this year and another one coming up. Kura Kura, Alcohol Free, Perfect World, The Feels and Scientist were all released this year. Plus, they released a Japanese album this year and their 3rd Korean album this year with 3 new English songs on it and they did unit songs for the first time. Plus they're releasing another Japanese track before the end of this year called Doughnut. Not to mention all the videos they do for their RU-vid channel and their other schedules like interviews, game shows and photo shoots. Twice get a LOT of focus.
@@ygpml also Jamie is under JYP and NiziU. I think it's hard to make sure all acts are treated fairly when you have so many to take care of. I think big entertainment companies should narrow their focus to a few artists rather than always wanting to make more groups all the time instead of focusing on the ones they already have.
Somehow after hearing the treatment of JYP to jae and jamie, and seeing how Got7 left and Twice is now in a down times, i am afraid that just few years twice will be ignored and secretly disband, stray kids may ignore as well and JYP will just focus on ITZY and 2 new groups to debut, i am afraid that will happen

This kinda narrative strengthen the notion that "female idols having it harder than their male counterpart". They trained just as hard, sacrifice just as much, sometimes even more. Yet, the treatment they're facing, whether it's from their company, fans and haters, are definitely much harsher and in some case, degenerating. I mean, look at Jaime and Jae. They're label mates who suffers hardship. Yet, Jae still allowed to perform, even when he is to endures it all by himself. Whilst Jaime ... They might looks delicate, yet female idols are tougher. 😶

I feel so bad sometimes when there are new artists debuting under jyp entertainment , if they become quite famous and earn a good amount of money , JYP will overwork them , if they don't become famous , JYP doesn't even give them proper comebacks Like twice , twice gained a lot of popularity and is one of the best groups so jyp always overworked them JYP should do a better job treating the idols under their company
As for denise's case, it's a pity that kpop artists have to maintain this perfect image and must not attract a single attention outside of what the company wants. Raising awareness is seen as a risky play by the company, that's why they never let the idols speak up. Because look at what happened to Irene. She meant good, but it backfired to her. It's all just a shame really
I get that she is an idol, but she is also an adult and her doing the drama isn’t wrong? It is a literally a drama for teenagers growing up in this era of the world to watch while they grow up. And worst comes to worst, she can become an actor if she can’t be an idol anymore.

Lots of things would be different if it's what the idol wants, if they have a choice and can use their voice. Then you can't blame the company for forcing them. Honestly the only thing I really love about how Americans (where I'm from.) Manage music is that it's the opposite. In Korea idols are nothing without a company in America companies are nothing without artists.

That's why sometimes, I kinda salute YG Entertainment. Minzy debuted at 15,but they never sexualized her. They never let her wear sexy clothes during debut even other members. BLACKPINK members debuted with 19 being the youngest. Yet, YG still never let them wear sexy clothes during rookie days. If you will notice, during rookie days, they are mostly wearing long sleeves or shirts, and they never wear sexy tops. They only wear sexy clothes during DDU-DU DDU-DU era, exact time that their rookie era is already done.

I really don't know why the kpop industry is so intense, toxic and hard to work in. It is literally just making music, albums, mvs, live performances and other activities like any other entertainment industry like the western pop industry. There really should be nothing of this sort going on and talked about but it is, so all I really want to know is why the kpop industry is so toxic and corrupted, to the point that fans are concerned about their favourite idol's mental and physical health and the sexualization of underage female idols.
They make it seem like Korean highschoolers are innocent though......I litterally seen an 16 and pregnant Korean girl on a Korean yt channel i- I'm glad the drama is a thing because they need to start being open and teaching highschoolers about s*x Ed miyeon did the right thing
