Focal, do you remember the Man City game home vs. Blackburn about 10 seasons ago. Blackburn were the team to target, so Aguero (c) and David Silva (v) was a popular pick. Mancini benched both of them, and they didn't play a single minute. Zero points for the captaincy. Painful.

No one will forget that Bednarek had the most negative FPL points in a single game due to own goals💀. Worst of all, there are lots of FPL managers who captain/vice-captain him, or getting him automatically subbed in by accident.

You're missing the gameweek in 2015 where Cédric for Southampton was taken off after 59:40 of a game - FPL didn't round up his minutes to 60. Yoshida replaced him and was on for 30:20 - yet they rounded up his minutes to 31 - which went against their logic. They made up a rule on the spot after this controversy that you had to play over 60 to get clean sheet points.

Hi Focal, you missed a key issue; Bednarek's red card was overturned! With two of the goals being scored after he was sent off, it could have been a season defining cock-up. Imagine if Saints had been relegated on goal difference.

That Wilson vs Isak difference cost me 1st place in my mini league. My mini league rival used a late GW36 wild card and he took it away. I cant be mad, I finished in the top 6k and he finished in the top 4K, he deserved it. Cant wait for the new season to start.

Always remember 2014-15 Man U win at home 4-0 to qpr di Maria debut, Tyler Blackett playing full back, young lad cheap option, my mate transfers him in only for the next game to be that famous 5-3 loss to Leicester, and Blackett got a red card 😅😅

i remember during the covid times, my captain was on a team that had their game called off and i had triple-captained him. the triple captain boost didnt get pushed to vice captain and lost the chip. pissed off to say the least.

My worst/funniest FPL moment was when the Man United fans stormed the stadium while protesting against the team owners, right before ManU v Liverpool, resulting in the entire game being cancelled! I had used my bench boost, and ended up getting exactly 0 points for it, since half of my team ended up with a blank. Why Salah Why?!?!

I still remember the pain last season when I had Willock captain for a double gameweek, he assisted (pretty sure it was for the penalty tho I might be wrong), they added the points, then removed them, though luckily they readded them later thst day. 😰

one of my fondest fpl memories is captaining stuart dallas v city that gameweek. i had a bet with my friends to captain him for 2-3 gws straight to prove a point that it would return big it was go big or go home kinda strategy but it paid off went from 1 million to under 100k. good times

Shocking how many of these affected me, I had Mane, March, Gabbiadini, Cancelo and Brunt in my teams during the aforementioned game weeks, I also had Jack Harrison in when he got the own goal credit on Marchs goal

Apart from Salah's Bournemouth blank, the only one of these I fell victim to was the Emmanuel Dennis red card and -1 in a double game week. I'd captained him too. I remember it well. I was away in Bath for my birthday. This almost ruined my weekend away I was so pissed off 😂

Sané was the worst ever for me, you forgot to mention aguero getting a hattrick the same week. Most people used TC on the city double and it was a 50/50 between Sané and Aguero as Aguero's minutes were being managed and Sané was flying. 56 Point TC difference was brutal.

I wouldn't descibe a player blanking when expected to get a massive haul or vice versa as contraversial you might get a bad beat but their is no controvery. Controversies are where the organisers have to deal with an event that was not envisaged in the rules (e.g. the Bournemouth Luton abandonment) and possibly things like the Son being declared injured when he wasn't. I also vaguely remember soeone being benched and a few people got wind of it as all his team mates dopped him from their fantasy team.

Yeah it's not the perfect word, this one used to be called Most Unpopular or Most Frustrating, something like that and it got absolutely no views haha. RU-vid is weird with video titles so I sometimes mess with them and the thumbnails after publishing 😅 as long as the content is good enough people don't mind too much.

GW 26 22/23 season . I switched captain to salah by deadline but it didnt save it. So captain was on haaland i believe, Salah scites 21 pts vs Man . United . GW 8 I believe - Started Son on my team only to see he was benched by Conte. Then he come on to score a hatrick
