Sono appena tornato da una vacanza in Sicilia, io, mia moglie e mia figlia abbiamo girato tutta la Sicilia, e non abbiamo avvertito alcun disagio in nessun momento, sia di giorno che di notte. Lì vivono persone meravigliose e amichevoli e tornerò di nuovo.

Just returned from Sicily and found it very safe. We were 2 female travellers and used public transport to explore the island, often out late at night. Everyone was very polite and civilised.

Just returned from London. A black guy on a bicycle on Oxford street tried to snatch my phone. Luckily, he didn't succeed. Then two days later two black guys tried to pepper spray and mug me in Notting Hill. Luckily they didn't succeed either. I'll take Catania over London any day.

Visited Catania for two days some years ago on my way for a holiday in Syracuse. Thought Catania was boring and a bit of a dump but never felt it was dangerous.

I understand this is your first video but I must say that there is room for improvement. First, it’s tacky when you use clickbait words such as “dangerous.” Please use the correct spelling of the island; it is Sicily. Give credit to the business if you had a good experience. Example: Your espresso was good but you did not provide the name of the establishment. Also, please provide the name of the church where you filmed so that viewers may want to visit. Every country has unpleasant neighborhoods; no need to film “shit” laying in the street or maybe you think it is “dangerous.” You can improve the ending of your video instead of ending it so abruptly without dialogue, such as, “Hope you enjoyed my adventure in Sicily.” Just my opinion.

Maybe in the daylight tourist areas. However, statistically, it is within the top 10 ranking of most dangerous cities in Europe. So, asking that question in the title is not a click bait, but a serious point to investigate as a traveller.

Just today my son & his frined aged 22 Y/o They were pinned with firearms in the street in Sicily , Both back/ back bags were taken , all passports & money they were carrying also taken ! This incident occurred @ 17:00 pm ! They went to police station for statement that’s it ! It’s not safe as both of them not drinks Alcohol or getting any drugs ! Both of them students in university in Belgium !

Not dangerous at all, unless youre not streetwise. Its very clear the areas to keep out of, but by and large its a totally safe and eaay going City. Nothing compared to Napoli for being dangerous.

Lived here for 6 monhs. Never was welcomed by this locals. Not friendly at all to Americans. What you show is nothing of what I experienced. I tried to speak the language but that didn't help.
