9:39 This was a traffic light flasher signal for road work. It has a battery box and most likely it had a circular orange glass, a reflector behind that, with a incadescent bulb with a inbuilt bimetal switch that when turned on heated the bimetal switch that did bend and comes in the off position and then when cold go back to the on position again, and thus it did slowly flash repeatedly with no electronics at all :) We had other ways to make those things back in the days. Today in the electronics world they build this circuit based on a flip-flop circuit made with a few electronic components like two transistors, two capacitors and around three resistors where one is used as load on the other side of the circuit, or even a small microchip can be used i has seen. But it does exactly the same as in the old world, but not as energy efficient of course with the old incadescent bimetal switch bulb and the not so environment friendly lead acid battery. 14:49 The owner did not use his lock and it got stolen, use your locks people :)

@@eviejenkins5988 I am so old that internet itself and things like the personal pager and SMS messages on mobile phones was not available for the common people. Imagine that, a world with no cell phones, what would you have done, you would be lost. We did write letters to eachothers via the post office and did use the home phone or the telephone boot, very expencive in these days. And we in the 90's got computers with good mechanical keyboards unlike today where it was easy to write much with not much effort. Not on mobiles like young ones do today. I reccommend Keyboards with the Cherry MX blue switches if a writer and the brown switches if a gamer too. To me it is effortless to write alot if a want to. And we did read books back in the days, lots of books with longer texts. Not fictional books about dreamworlds novels but real books with knowledge. Look up the book "The mask of sanity" and the "Malignant self love" and "Personality disorders in modern life" it is good ones if youare older than a kid. It will help you identify all the toxic narcissistic and psychopathic people in your life. You will see all the red flags and you will never look at life with the same eyes as before reading the last one of these three. You will understand that for these kind of people it is more important to uplift their ego self than it is to be kind to others. Now, if not a kid as said, go and read some of these 400+ pages books and fill your mind to become a even better narcissist/psychopath if that is your way to be.. or perhaps go in the totally upposite direction and become aware of these folks and their toxic thought patterns and end up not to be like them. It is your choice. I like the RU-vidr Actualized, he is good. He will really make you think about everything and make you go in wide circles around your own thinking :)

You found yourself a bicycle honey pot . One of the first things you pulled up was for a brake as you thought . Its called a brake caliper . I have worked on a lot of them . I think the one you found looked like it be cleaned up and work again . Most of what you have found is a total loss except for tonnage for the scrap pile .

Brand new claw with a separate rope. Nice, glad you didn't lose it on it's first throw. Break clamp, bike chain, kick stand, where's the bike? OH there it is, an another one, an another one, (after magnet clip) an another one, (after big round metal) an another one, an another one. Total of 6 with an extra tire. OH, that is one of those flashing lights, you found one attached to a fold out sign a while back. Magnet Clip, they sell them individually or by the gross (100 package). Love watching your videos, never know what you will fish up. Oh, near my mom's house she put in a few years ago I was mowing outside her fence, found an old tractor pedal in the West Texas sand. We had a bunch of rain lately and it got uncovered.

Whenever you find an object that you can't pull up with the magnet and so you need to use your grappling hook, you should leave your magnet attached to the object to "mark the spot" in the water, and thus know where to drop your claw in. If you draw up your magnet, then you may not be able to then re-find the place in the opaquely-muddy water to dangle your claw into.

Sad thing is that is just one guy that was stealing bikes in that area and the ones that had no real value ended up in there so they couldn't be caught with a stolen bike... truthfully police don't do anything when it comes to stolen bikes unless it's like super expensive and even then it's unlikely.
