@@wingoreviewsboxingandmma3667 thanks for the reply. I'll have to play with switching my grips up. Never know when something slight gives a qualitative change.
Demien Maya’s POV: you’re trying to recover #backcontrol against good escape technique 1️⃣ Switch to diagonal control with your head catching opponents head and your top leg catching his top arm 2️⃣ Tripod on your head and shoulder and get your bottom leg behind your triceps for comfy sit-up 3️⃣ Sit-up without falling backwards and roll your opponent into back control position
Love all the Demian Maia stuff! What about him doing some grappling content where strikes are involved? He would be awesome for that! We tried to do grappling classes that involved striking on the ground. It didn’t take off in our market But I personally would love to see and train BJJ w some reasonable ground striking included
I would hate to point out a flaw in Damian's back attack. Because I just saw a Roger Gracie video in which he said that the attack hand which strangles the neck should be protected by the other hand. So the opponent can't grab the strangle hand because it's covered with the other hand. Then Roger can just slip the strangle hand out from under the other to get the neck. Damian leaves his strangle hand unprotected. Just a small detail from the grand Master Roger Gracie.
