Check out Texas A&M RB Devon Achane 2022 Highlights! Combining OLYMPIC speed with elite shiftiness, he will be one of the 1st RBs taken in the 2023 NFL Draft!
I wasn't sure if Grier was going to pick a rb this early because last one in the 3rd round was Drake. I was hoping that he would either draft Gibbs or Achane, I'm telling you after watching Achane's highlights, he's going to be a gem because not only does he have blazing speed, his vision and patience as a runner is what's going to separate him in training camp, it's unreal how great his patience and vision is when running between the tackles!! Let's go, Phinsup!🔥🔥🔥💯🐬
This is NOT what I expected to see when I heard Miami had drafted an under-sized speed back. This dude runs with purpose, has excellent vision, follows blocks, breaks arm tackles, gets the extra yards, everything! Mike McDaniels is laughing like a Bond villain imagining plays for this guy. Hopefully our forever bad/injured offensive line doesn't ruin his early career!
The way Achane looks against college defenses reminds me of Barry Sanders vs NFL defenses. He's moving at a different speed. Hopefully it translates and at minimum, he's our Darren Sproles. 🐬
This young man is the steal of the draft for the Miami Dolphins if he rushes for over 1,000 he's the Rookie of the Year finally the GM drafted a good player
Con is his size. Everything else is a plus. He runs hard despite his size, good vision, sets up his blocks, good short area quickness, great explosive cuts, home run threat, mismatch out of the backfield on linebackers, its all there. I will expect him to be a return man as well. This is what Miami thought they paid Chase Edmonds for.
@@aaronbreeds758 huh? accuracy and yac players go hand in hand. tua one of the best accurate throwers in nfl. sorry, but you are kind of dumb if you are arguing against that.
Achane is who people think Gibbs will be at the next level. Achane is better between the tackles even though he’s smaller, Gibbs has the receiving skills on him but that’s really it. Since they both need to be outliers because of their size, give me the guy with world class speed as one of his traits.
Watching these videos, I'm far more impressed with Achane than Gybbs. I'm shocked the way he bounces off tackles for a guy his size. It's like he's so fast and has such good balance, that nobody can get a clean hit on him, and when they do hit him he just bounces off it and continues straight up field.
I think Achane is closer to 195 and Gibbs is closer to 180... At least that's how the two look. Gibbs has really skinny legs where as Achane has some solid legs. That's probably why Achane can absorb his better and has better balance. I hope my Birds grab him in the second.
When Miami went undefeated and won the Super Bowl, Don Shula operated with a 3 rb backfield. Mercury Morris, Larry Czonka and Jim Kiick. The year prior when they went and lost they lost a first round pick due to tampering (to get Don Shula). In that same season the starting QB got injured and the backup came in and kept them rolling. Itll be Interesting to see if history repeats itself. Maybe not undefeated though.
Hes gonna have a long career. Hes everything a coach could want. Incredible athlete, smart, hard worker, tough, great character. If lands on the Chiefs or Eagles we could see something really really special.
I see much more quickness, suddenness and acceleration than true elite football speed. Very few plays on this highlight of him running away from people. Love his toughness.
I think its because he's surprisingly patient for such a fast downhill runner. He's rarely actually running hard for acceleration unless he's trying to burn past the secondary. I remember watching him play quite a bit last season, didn't expect to like his film so much. Hits gaps like an arian foster 5:18 tho. He went all out on that one lmao that burst was scary
@@TheGanjologist Talented for sure, it just seems like his track speed isn’t pure football speed. I certainly see elite quickness and acceleration, but on some of those plays I expected to see him seriously outrun angles
U know what Darren Sproles said, he wouldn't have changed his height for the World, that is what made him the player he was. Never underestimate a player with a chip! they have more to prove, & they'll do whatever it takes to prove the naysers wrong.
I called that kickoff runback against Alabama. We were at that game, and after Bama scored, I told my wife they’re gonna run it back here. You could just feel the energy. There was an optimistic energy in the stadium that night, like they were gonna win. I didn’t know who Achane was back then.
Dam track guys making there way into football big time this guy is a bad dude i didnt keep up with him thanks utube is great as bad as it is in the world we still got young men who want to play ball or run track very good to see here in 2023 love this
1 of the best backs/athletes we've had in the past 10yrs @ A&M. Great stable runner and very smart. Definitely going to miss him blasting out of the back field on Saturdays.
I’m glad w got achane we always skip out on drafting rbs in the draft, don’t know y he fell to the 3rd maybe cuz of his size but he can go through big players
I see an (Aaron Jones+) comp to him over Chris Johnson. He is shifty inside the tackles like Jones but seems to have the ability to access a top gear in space. Its funny when you watch RB in College versus professional. The backs looks slower in college then seem to access more speed in the Pro game. Must be that coaching and conditioning.
Because he is small. I know being small isn't the best thing in the NFL but this guy is loaded. I hope he has a really good season with us and we are able to see him at his full potential.
