I think PAL Klonoa is probably quite rare too. I remember it took me a while to track down a copy back in the early 2000s (when PS1 games were still being sold in some shops). I loved it so much that I also bought the soundtrack. I have them both still kicking around somewhere.

Ps1 games aren’t expensive or rare the reason is very simple you can hack ps1 games and add them to your ps1 or even play them on your PC maybe the PS2 games can be rare and Xbox the ones that’s not popular not everyone knows about but the PS1 was a joke PlayStation console it was trash ruined arcade hits Sega Saturn was the best console that year and Nintendo 64 that’s when Nintendo was better then PlayStation

I remember back in like 2015 or so, this really nice pawn shop owner sold me a copy of Koudelka for like $20 in great shape. But me being an idiot, decided to resell it at some point the same year... Now i look up a copy on ebay and find that a complete one will easily run you $250

You can buy many of these games digitally on the Playstation Store for less than $10. You may have to use a PS3, though. (Update: You only have a few months before online store closes.)

Most of them are available on the PS3/PSP/PS Vita store. You already know of the impending demise of these legacy stores. Go grab 'em while you still can!

To this day I am still pissed at my parents for selling my video games when I was a kid....I had both Suikoden II AND Midaventures of Tron Bonne!! As well as Valkyrie Profile! I could have made major bank!

A guy I know asked if I would sell him suikoden 2 and offered me £100 for it...it's still my favourite game and was my favourite series til it died.... Needless to say...the games still in my drawer 😂

This is a well made video but I had to dislike just for saying Clock Tower 2 was bad. I love it so much I would gladly pay the 400$ price if I needed another copy. I'd pay hundreds more than that if I had to.

I have The Misadventures Of Tron Bonne. Original along with MML2 Demo disc ( USA Release ) I got the three Syphon Filters discs, but these are Greatest Hits versions. But still i'm happy of what i got. SF3 were the one of the most expensive PSX game ( the 9-11 version ? i never knew about that )

Sorry but Team Buddies is rarer than most on this list. My game store has 6 copies of suikoden ll, 4 copies of Persona, 3 copies of Persona 2, 3 copies of Brigandine (2 with maps, 3 copies of Tales of Destiny ll. Some of these really aren’t rare. Psychic Detective, Starblade Alpha, Team Buddies, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Tail Concerto, Misadventures of TB, 911 Syphon Filter are IMO the most rare regular licensed release game.

Nice video but where is Castlevania?! Mega Man Legends 1+2? Team Buddies? They're all worth more than some of the games on this list.

Tales of Destiny II is actually Tales of Eternia the real Tales of Destiny 2 is on PS2 but sadly was never released outside of Japan.

What's missing from this video is "why". Why are these games so expensive? Without that, this video is just a game review of 10 obscure games.

Ps1 is the only system that has a huge variety of rpg, and jrpg games due to the Saturn not investing that into rpg because of their CEO at the time. And Nintendo really not having that many jrpg games on its system

Of these I have Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden II, and Revolations Person. I really want Tails of Destiny 2, Tron Bonne, and Klonoa. One title I will mention that I thought was the Holy Grail of PS1 collecting is the Elemental Gearbolt Assassins Case set and game.

I have Suikoden II. Some others I have that are pricey now but weren't in this list (I Don't think) are: Diablo, Castlevania Symphony Of The Night Black Label, and Silent Hill. Latter of which has SKYROCKETED lately for whatever reason. No clue if I'll ever get any of these other ones, the prices piss me the hell off lmao

Ummm Tales of Destiny 2 is actually called Tales of Eternia. Now that Japan has a real Tales of Destiny 2 maybe it's time to end the confusion.

guess I should've held onto Valkyrie Profile. About a decade ago when I finally sold it the price had been sitting at around $180. Still have Suikoden II though and it looks like the price of that has shot up some.

I played Tail Concerto, again and again. I never tired of this game. I also played Missventures of Tron Bonne.

Syphon Filter 3's release timing was really bad due to how the PS2 was blowing up back then. Good thing I was able to complete the trilogy except The Omega Strain in the PS2.

About two weeks ago, I was in the midst of playing through Tales of Destiny again, but for some reason, I didn't feel the same way about it as I did back in 1998, so I sold it. It's not a difficult title (I beat it once before), but I felt that the areas late in the game needlessly dragged and the enemy encounters are too frequent. I sold it for $250 on eBay, before their crazy fees. I was surprised to see how expensive it got and how quickly it sold. I bought Suikoden II when it first came out, but for some reason I sold it. I had Klonoa back in the late 90's and sold it some time later. I bought it again several years ago for only $30. My most treasured PS1 games are Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Eternal Blue Complete, the latter of which has the trinkets still sealed. I love both games to death and I will not part with them.

I feel so stupid. I owned most of these games when I was a teenager. But I trade it in at EB games for next to nothing. The only one I have is Dragonball GT. One used and one still sealed.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is that expensive now? I've got two copies i got for less then a tenner, as one of them was pretty badly damaged, i tried to repair it, but had to buy another copy from germany, but at one point, there was a stupid amount of pal copies available.

Funny thing is I used to have most of them on this list but I sold them because my mum lost a lawsuit to a car crash scammer and she couldn't pay. ( Yes car crash scamming is a thing and I know it was a scam because I was in the passenger seat at the time he drove into us while we where parked in our driveway and he was only going 10 if that. )

That Cindy game gets expensive

Bought Tales of Destiny 2 about 2-3 years ago for 230$CAD ($180 USD) on ebay in perfect condition including the manual and shipping. Now it's hard to find it for under 350$CAD ($280 USD). It was a good deal, even at the time. If you can read Japanese, the Japan version is dirt cheap though.

I sold my copy of Clock Tower 2. Not a great game. Clock Tower 1 on PS1(the ps1 game not the SNES remake, though the snes game is awesome) is great though, and I still own that. 3 is pretty awesome too.

I own Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden II, Klonoa, Persona, and Tron Bonne. I think I've done pretty well.

I have to disagree with Clock Tower 2, it's very good horror game! It's 11 endings are very well written. I got also every horror games on every playstations and glad to have them.

i know its janky but clock tower 2 is definitely worth playing if you like survival horror games!!! its difficulty and jankyness adds to the suspense and tension! also i reccomend the twilight syndrome series and Yuuyami Doori Tankentai they are japanese ps1 horror games that still manage to frighten you even though you wont be able to understand the text

"Clock Tower" for the PS1 is a direct sequel to a Super Famicom game of the same name, released only in Japan in 1995. But you keep referencing "Clock Tower II", as well the story of Alyssa and her multiple personalities, while showing footage of the first "Clock Tower" on the PS... "Clock Tower" (1996) may have been off-putting at first, for it's point-and-click interface and its lousy voice acting, but it was a pretty fun game once you got into it. If you got yourself a PS mouse, it wasn't so bulky and unwieldy to play. Personally, I thought the interface helped add elements of tension and panic to the game, especially if you ran into Scissorman. The story wasn't too bad (at least it made sense) and it had several different endings. Matter of fact, I think this game even gave "Resident Evil" some competition, so it couldn't have been all that bad. I still have this game, and I don't think I'll ever part with it. "Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within" (1998), on the other hand, was very similar but not nearly as fun. It was kind of crap, if I remember correctly. It was a whole new story with nothing tying it to the first two games, like Scissorman or Jennifer. It was fraught with bugs and walking dead scenarios - points where you're stuck and can't die or progress further in the game; a by-product of poorly planned games with multiple endings. I have this game also, and even though it wasn't that great, I wouldn't part with it either. Though the interface and the utilization of (what would become known as) Quick Time Events are off-putting, neither of these games are that different from horror games like "Until Dawn" on PS4, which focuses more on story than action and weapons.

What makes suikoden Stand on its own is the duel mode, war mode, large number of recruitments, unite attacks

I remember having a pirated copy of Tron Bonne that I bought in Malaysia and the gameplay was great. Wish I could've completed it but it was in Japanese. I'm trying to get a PS1 emulator up and going but it hasn't been functioning (the BIN files I've downloaded haven't worked for some reason).

As much I love Final Fantasy 7 ; Valkrie Profile 2 looked 100 times better, certainly in terms of innovation - never saw it before today Feb 2020.
