Cigars are a lot like perfume. Some of the cost goes into the bottle in the way they select and blend the various aromatics. The rest goes into the design of the bottle and packaging. I smoked one of the most Gurkha cognac infused cigars that came "en tubo" with a wax seal. Although I received it as a gift, I KNOW the lady at the liquor store who gave it to me paid more than the $10.00 it was worth. Anyone who pays more than $30.00 for a single stick is, in my opinion, all about showing off their ostentation. Zino makes a good cigar. Davidoff makes a good cigar. Cohiba (Cuban) are overpriced. I've smoked a variety of Cuban cigars, bought overseas, and most of them taste good but are frightfully overpriced. I would love to try a Camacho "Pre-Embargo" made with leaves left over from Castro's days.
