Just throwing it out there- over the years I've had every kind of iron, professional and consumer grade. I recently needed a new straightener and I needed it fast. I took a risk on an affordable Amazon option- it only had a few dozen reviews but they were all nearly 5 star. It was maybe the cheapest professional "looking" iron...were talking like under 20 bucks shipped prime. It's brand name is "HTG" and it comes in a few colors...this is hands down the best flat iron I've ever had. Gets up to 450 in seconds and holds accurate temperature. The hair holds its shape for a week (as far as I've pushed it so far) and thus far I feel like I've found the hg. Since I was a teenager I've had every iron anyone has ever recommended. Starting way back with the two inch plate hot tools black and gold plastic behemoth, to the inaugural chi to good impersonator/dupe brands (GVP et al) and I've even had Schwarzkopf and other professional brands. This amazon flat irons crushes them all so far. I can't say enough good about it, I've posted review on Amazon but I feel like I need to spread the word elsewhere where people will see it and appreciate😊👌
Currently on the market for a flat iron. I currently have a Chi and it works fine, I just hate it and I'm fed up with it.. I looked but there's a lot of listings that fit this description. By any chance, could you post a link to the one you bought? Also, does it have auto shut off after an hour or so? (I frequently forget to unplug my hair tools).
No auto shut off that I'm aware off- just a very well performing iron that I'm totally stoked about. I bought it off amazon.ca and its now around $34 CAD with a 7 dollar off coupon- making it less than 30 CAD- around $20USD www.amazon.ca/dp/B07DHRPHTB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Omg, you read my mind! I was JUST contemplating the Graphene vs the 10X There isnt alot of info on the Graphene except for basic specs. I was concerned about the smaller plates as I love to do curls and waves with a flat iron as well. Thank you so much for this comparison review. You answered and demonstrated every possible question I had about these flat irons.
Can you please do a comparison video between the bio ionic 10x and other vibrating flat irons? Specifically the vibe by Kenneth Bernard. I would love to see more affordable options for vibrating flat irons!
Would love to know what hair products are your favorite, particularly what you use to prevent flyaways/frizz and heat protectant! Thanks! Love your channel! I have been watching you on Facebook forever and just recently found out you also post on RU-vid!
My husband hates when I watch you because I’ve already gotten a few products you suggested and it’s cost a pretty penny. My most recent purchase was the 10x on Black Friday on sale as well- which I absolutely LOVE, but one thing is trying to use it to curl long hair is kinda hard.
phenomenal...every video has the word phenomenal. the hair was already straight and smooth so i would like ot see it used on curly or frizzy hair to really see how it works
which straightening brush is your all time favorite so far? I've just cut my hair, it was down to my waist and now it's up to my shoulders, similar to your length, and it's really crazy and puffy so I'm trying to find a good tool that will help me keep it straight and do it quickly love your videos btw!
I'm kinda new to your channel I have already bought a few products that you have recommended and I love them our hair is similar in texture...fine...love your channel.
Mila!! Can you do a video explaining the different between ceramic and titanium plates? Which is better? I just bought my first flat iron from L’ange and it has titanium plates (because I thought titanium is better) and I’m not sure it’s as good as my Chi, which has ceramic plates. Which is better for my hair? Which flat irons are really up to par versus those that fall short? Love you and your videos so much. Happiest holidays, gorgeous!!
Titanium works better for thick hair but it can damage your hair more. Ceramic has a heat conductivity that treats thin hair better but it wont heat up as much. It leaves a nicer finish too… although if you have thick hair, you wont be done by with your hair by the end of the day’ for me, i cant even get them straight. I will achieve a wavy-blow-dry-ish-im-lazy result and thats about it. Some hair dont need all that titanium power. If its not necessary, there’s no point. I see that you have brown hair: Chi is a good one. Whatever gives you the best result and is easier to use… tbh if i were you i would use the titanium for the hair in the back near the scalp or wherever its thicker and more difficult … or personally i use a titanium when i do different hair styling like ponytail extensions, braids, loose bun[..] because i only do the top of my hair and its much thicker (normally if i just do a braid it’s because im late and titanium is quicker) i only do the top-hair section. Its very Efficient, but be careful with your ends, if you let your hair down and want 100% of your hair straight, id stick To your ceramic one. Use titanium for the stubborn sections or when youre in a rush
I've been wanting to buy a bio ionic for awhile since I saw your videos on it but it was over 200 at the time. Just bought it for 115 at Ulta. Now, my hair had already been straightened that day but I went over it anyway and it actually made it even straighter and it was shiny! Also, usually, my hair will get piecey when I straighten but my hair is just flowing together. I'll have to see how it does next time I wash but so far I'm really impressed.
I just bought a BioIonic 10x and I love it. I got it on sale for $160. The only bad thing is that for the warranty to go into place, you have to go online within 30 days of purchase. This info is not in the packaging or information card. Just so you know....
Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking about buying one because the warranty makes it worth it... it would suck to lose eligibility of that after spending that much money!
Can you please do a video using that super expensive bio Ionic flat iron and the con air “drugstore” flat iron that you love to see the difference? Like a drugstore vs high end? Preferably on someone with thicker, wavy to curly hair?
I'm trying to figure out if the original BioIonic 10x is the same as the BioIonic 10x Magical stone graphic design (sold by Ulta). The design one (magical stone) looks glossy on the outer casing whereas the regular black 10x is more matte. Do you think matte vs shiny casing will affect the end result of hair style? It's sold at Ulta but the magical stone design one is only online so I can't see it in person. Have you seen the magical stone one or have any thoughts as to whether it's the same as the original matte black? It's $31 cheaper than the original black ... So I'm curious why the price would be different. The BabylissPro Nano Titanium was shiny and glossy on the outside and made my hair slip right through, I hated it. So I wonder if a shiny outer casing 10x would have the same issue of hair slipping
Totally off topic but have you tried the Formawell x Kendal curling iron? I don't get the Kristan Ess curling iron here and the Formawell one looks similar. Looking for a wand with a clip and don't have a lot of choice here! Seems to be either a Silver Bullet or GHD.
I have the 10x. I don’t use a flat iron much I’m more of a round brush and hair dryer girl. I did however buy the Graphene blow dryer. I couldn’t get used to the nozzle but I did like the fact it dried my hair very fast. I kept it for a fast blow dry.
Hmmm... I think both sides are equally straight, smooth and shiny ... BUT no more straight, smooth and shiny than I get with my 20-year old $100 Chi ... It always amazes me as to where people choose to waste their $$
Love your videos!! However did not like the bio 10x. Very expensive and didn't curl my hair as I thought it would for the price. As for straightening my hair, I saw no difference in this then my much cheaper Revlon flat iron. I also do not understand the need for the vibrating plates. I was very disappointed and unfortunately I can not return. I, personally would not recommend but all hair types are different.
I bought the bio ionic 10x for me thanks to your videos/reviews and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!!!!! THANK YOUUUUUU 💖 My mom and I love your videos so much!! Greetings from México and Happy Holidays 🎉💖
Have you tried any of the paul Mitchell hair tools or hair products? I would really love your opinion on the paul mitchell straightener if you have one. ❤❤❤ I have very THICK, kinda long, FRIZZY hair.. I have tried everything possible to help tame the frizz down some, and i have had ZERO luck.. If you know any tips for frizz.. Please send it my way. I am willing to purchase anything no matter how much it is.. Thanks milabu 😘
Honey, your hair is way to straight before you use a flat iron, i can’t see the difference between which one is “natural” and which one is the one that you’re straightening out, you may need look for some friend who has corse and curly hair to see if it really does do something to your hair, your hair is thin and fine texture and you don’t use tools over 350, a lot of us have to use the straightener at 450, I can’t tell with you testing it, if this really helps or worth it to get it🤔
I have long thick coarse hair also, and i use my straightener at 450 as well.. But milabu can only speak for herself, her hair type, and how she feels about each product she test out.. Even though my hair is 100% different then her hair, i still enjoy watching her. Just because based off her opinion, and me actually watching how the tool performs helps if i decide i wanna buy the product myself..
Jenny Ashmore I call honey to my entire family cus I love them, I call honey to my daughter, my stepson, my mom, my mom in law, my husband, and too many more people, and I like Milabu, I’m not attacking her at all, I try to leave a respectful comment about it, don’t try to make comments with hate because there is not hate at all.
try Babyliss titanium flat iron. I really really like it so hot and make the hair so straight around 120$-160$ does very good On kinky hair ,not all kind of kinky hair
I love mine. You have to watch some of the reviews on there, I have found some people get “fake” products thinking they are real and then leave bad reviews. I have had mine for a few years now, and have never had any issues with it.
I'm wanting to purchase a new straightener for my daughter for Christmas. I was just watching old Milabu videos of her past comparisons. My daughter's hair is extremely long, very think & wavy!! I was thinking the Bio Ionic 10x w/ vibrating plates. Now, I feel unsure again after seeing how good this one performed. Milabu's hair is completely opposite from my daughter's, however. Anyone w/ the Bio Ionic 10x w/ vibrating plates have my daughter's hair type? Love or hate this particular straightener & why? Thanks everyone. Happy Holidays ❣️
I have extremely thick hair and the 10x works amazingly for me. I've had it for about a year now after contemplating getting it for a long time and I am obsessed with it!! I got the curling iron too and there really is no comparison to other hair tools
They help the iron glide through easier to avoid those drag/stop marks you can get and I would imagine to shuffle the hairs into line while you pass it through.
World most expensive falt iron and curling iron actaully exists in Japan, at the time this video published (2019) it was a model "4D Plus" then now in 2022, a newer one is even more expensive with a "7D Plus" model. The brand name of them is "Bioprogramming". You can buy from the Rakuten Japan or Amazon Japan. There are Japanese video reviews but still yet from the western bueuty vlogger. It will be great if you may embark the review in someday.
Additional, a new rising star of Japanese hot tool is "Refa" which is known as very mind to hair and help to retain hair's moisture better than any other brand. This "Refa" costs about $190 while the the Bioprogramming "7D plus" is about $620.
I know packaging isn’t everything but you’d think for the most expensive straightener would look a lot nicer and look expensive. Hate the way it looks 😅😅
In the real world most people don’t spend $150 to $300 on curling /straightening irons. . You can alienate a majority of your viewers with content that is impractical to their budget and lives .
What are you even saying? There's plenty of people with good jobs that can spend this kind of money. Or people who save their money to spend on things like this lmao
Not racist or anything, but why the hair tools always have to be reviewed by “white people with ash-blonde dyed light-blonde, mid length, thin hair & naturally shiny not-curly-nor-yaki (like you literally wake up with straight hair. Maybe a little wavy) and it takes you like 10 minutes from moment you get out of the shower. You can use literally any hair straightener (even blowdry on low temp) and its gonna work. Same thing with hair products. Ever since i discovered the textured hair section… oh my my ! It changed my life. Anyways, nothing against you. Its 100% not your fault and your video is good…. But could you like…idk… hit up a dark skin friend and have her test this hair straightener? Please? 🤣 hair tools dont hit the same when you have the “ i need hair relaxer and keratin” type of hair.
