one day wonderkid bg player Sander Lylloff made a play against Gus Hansen which caused derision amongst the best players. Wonderkid was right, way right. This is Gus Hansen v fellow Dane Sander Lylloff, playing for US$10000. Sander is now one of the most successful dual discipline poker and backgammon players in the world; and regarded by many, as the best bg player anyway. Gus has similar standing in the game of course.

When you think about it, Chick Romwell had a move just like this in the infamous 1988 Romwell v. Grogansen bout. Funny how the commentators missed out on this amazing parallel

Its funny . The comentators dont have a clue about the right play and they thats a bad play. But its Dmp . So gammons dont matter. Hitting is the right play. Falafel knows this off course. So sander does.

yeah totally, and even without DMP I think it is, it's 15 good numbers for the opponent vs 20 not hitting

Size of dice is optional and unimportant BUT they must be precision dice.

Gus is a massive figure in poker, this guy is unheard of outside of backgammon.

Easy to say but watched this video just recently and he made exactly the right plays, what I would have played anyway,

Isn't this game solved?! It doesn't matter what you would've done, ask the engine.
