Senrab! Thankyou so much for having us. After Meeting Tony and the coaching staff I cannot stress enough how important that club is to the East London community. With their passion for the game and their dedication teaching the kids, it makes complete sense that they've been able to create the talented footballers they have. But I personally don't know how long this can continue with the little resources they have! Get it together FA and help out the proper football people running proper football clubs!

Copa90 I trained with a team in Amsterdam called AVV Zeeburgia and they have produced a ridiculous number of players (I think over 200+) then went to play professional.

Cool video. Some of the success was down to head hunting the best players and taking them from other teams. That's what the top youth clubs do. Attract the best and only take the best. Not all age groups but I think that's what you would have seen with John Terry's year group. Just something worth sharing as you know I work in this field (not literally that field though) . Good to see you are covering grass roots footy

Defoe Campbell Terry King time to payback the club that brought you through and helped make you the players that you are today i'm sure they could all come together and build them a clubhouse buy kit maintain pitches come on lads pay it forward. Makes me sick to think that the premier league has just signed a 5 billion pound contract give something back to grass roots without this club and many others around the country maybe there would be no Defoe etc the list is endless. Without football when i was younger i would never have made the friends i did i was really shy but on the pitch was different.

there is a lot of truth in this documentary wanstead flats have the most terrible pitches, i remember there was one period where sunday league was called off for more than two months because the pitches were waterlogged. so much success has started from east london football leagues but no money is put back into it.

Norby0395 Why does that make a difference? If nobody came to support them im sure half of them wouldnt even want to play? Just because its a lower ranking of football, its still the same, players, fans, your own pitch. This is where it all begins.

I remember playing in goal against Senrab in the East London Cup, we got to the finals against them and lost 7-1 (I still won goalkeeper of the tournament, even got scouted by them). Some guy called Jodi Jones scored 5 against me can never forget him. Found out he's now on FIFA and got a 70 rated inform card at only 18

Brilliant video displaying a great grassroots football club. I'm a referee myself and most the games I ref are in London and it is very obvious (By the poor standard of training gear, pitches and goals, lack of facilities, not enough coaches) that the FA isn't giving enough funding to what I believe to be the most important aspect of football. Also the premier league should probably consider sponsoring these kinds of passionate and successful grassroots clubs to keep the great talent coming through for years to come.

I play for Parkview Rangers in the same league but different division. All our players are top quality but never have been scouted. We hadn't lost a game for the whole season and only conceded 1. Won the league by winning all our game and the cup. They think their good!

I remember playing against Senrab at u9 level in a cup quarter final. We won 2-1. And one of their parents went a bit mental and ran on the pitch chucking a chair about. He was an Italian fellow, and I remember him saying he would stab us/our parents. Apart from that, it was one of the best matches I've been involved in. Oh the Sunday league days! They will be missed.

It's a shame that such a club has those financial problems. It's by far one of the best videos by Copa90 and may be a chance for Senrab to get the attention of sponsors. Maybe mr Terry or mr Defoe will remember where they started it all and will donate some money to this impressive team...

Great stuff from Copa90 as ever. Senrab have a huge history as mentioned, and i agree 100% with the sentiments of the Coaches/Secretary in regard to equality and what is best for Future of Kids in terms of football coaching. However I Manage/Coach an U10 side in my local area, and am baffled at how they are complaining about funding etc with a yearly budget of £16,000...?!? Compared to the Club we have, that is ridiculous..!!

Tony was in my class at secondary school. A great bloke who has a passion for football. Wasnt a bad player himself (a lot thinner then though) LOL Tony, I have been coaching since 1977, got the levels etc, and then progressed to coaching the coaches. Get in touch and I'll see if I can help you out with that side.Yet in the late 60's early 70's the ONLY team that counted in East London was Clapton Argyle managed by a guy called Freddie Hunt. He 'bought' the best players (yes amatuer sunday league and illegal) by getting them new football boots/bags etc.All the best kids wanted to play for them as they basically won everything BUT everyone else hated them. They were the Leeds Utd of East London at that time.Then Tony joined Senrab and the shift was amazing.Tony, do you still hear from Dave Moore et al?

I would expect that a club that produced so many talent to get something back from the insanely rich clubs these players excelled at. How many football millionaires have played for them? An how many of those are supporting them now in return?
