Most Gen Xers and Millennials earn more than their parents, but Gen Zers are struggling to get ahead 

Most Australians are economically better off than their parents were at a similar age, but that's increasingly not the case for those in poverty, women, and people born after 1990, according to the Productivity Commission.
Its latest report has found Australia's overall levels of economic mobility were high by global standards.
But those born after 1990 are not on the same income trajectory as the people born in prior years. Insecure work, high education costs and a more expensive housing market have all played a part.
The report also found poverty levels are the highest they've been since 2001, and have been on a steady rise over that time.
