Halloween is near, so why not join us, while we stay at the most haunted hotel in South Africa? In this episode we get our spook on and check into the Lord Milner Hotel at Matjiesfontein. This is supposedly the most haunted town and hotel in South Africa. We walked the scary narrow passageway to get to our hotel room which is very basic considering its most we spent on any accommodation on our road trip through South Africa.
We got to have a tour of Matjiesfontein on an old red London double decker bus which is the shortest tour in South Africa only being a full 10 minutes. The awesome tour guide Johnny is just so amazing at his storytelling and really got us laughing in the bus. We also got to visit the house where Lord Milner and his family stayed but is now known as the ghost house. Johnny took us around the house and showed us all the Victorian pieces that it housed. Johnny then took a photo of Kelby and much to Adam's and Kelby's surprise, the Archangel Gabriel appeared on her photo and apparently this means beware of pregnancy, little did Johnny know, we had just found out we are pregnant and had not told anyone yet as we were only 7 weeks pregnant. Then something extremely strange happens and this only makes sense to us now, but Johnny had said "you daughter is on her way" and we only found out on the 6th of April 2021 that we were having a girl.
The next morning we had time before breakfast to view the footage we took the night before after dinner and saw something really strange on our cellphone footage, some sort of interference, this really got us freaked out.
We got to laze by the pool and walk around the gardens at the Lord Milner Hotel before we checked out.
This was such an awesome experience and definitely a place we would love to visit again.
