I was a supervisor at bank station 94-97 this station is without doubt haunted and it's the area of the top of the northern line lifts which is directly underneath the church.i experienced something very disturbing there at about 3am one night and I will never forget it.

These places are scattered across the world. Portholes into the next world! Normally dormant and sealed from this domain. However, when a great tragedy happens, or many soles leave this earth which they feel unjustly done by, or unavenged This porthole opens! Contact takes place! Something that should never happen within this realm!

Thank you for these stories. 14:50 "Sara Whitehead" I had seen and interacted with in 1987 as a tourist visiting London for the first time as a young man. I had never heard of this tale until recently and did some research about her since. I was on the Northern line going to Morden station, the end of the line. As the train ride was nearing my destination less and less people were present until finally I was alone. When I got out this tiny woman completely covered in black was standing in front of me, I remember the veil had intricate embroidery, and her clothes were like rags, she stood about 5 feet and had a small shrill voice, child like, asking if I had seen her brother. I said "what"? Thinking for sure she was going to ask me for money, but she asked emphatically "have you seen my brother!?", of course I said no and walked away and never thought about this for over 30 years. Its amazing how I can even still remember the details thinking back. Another thing, she gave out a disappointed sigh to my answer - she really authentically wanted to know. I remember walking out of the station, I was the only person there and I had wondered how of all the many Tube doors that opened she stood in front of my tube door

I think the last reported sighting of Mr Terriss on the underground was in 1972, maybe he's happy now.

I experienced a precognition of the Kings Cross Fire.I was in London for an appointment and trying to get to Chelsea I think and somehow I got on the wrong Tube.I realised I was heading in the wrong direction on a line I didn't recognise.I looked at thea map on the carriage wall and saw the first place I could change to get to the correct place was Kings Cross.I had never been there before. As the train hurtled along and passed multiple stations I started to feel tense, then stressed forbodeing.two stops from Kings Cross a panic rose, then blind panic as it rolled in and the doors opened.I didn't know the way out and hurtled out running up the nearest escalator in terror I burst out into the evening winter street 100% certain I would not go back there for anything.I had to find a bus overland which was going to take me a long time.As I stood opposite the entrance to Kings Cross waiting for a bus I could see steam rising out of air vents,I became gripped with the belief the station was on fire and wanted to tell the strangers around me it was on fire.My rational brain overcame this conviction and told me I was imagining things, but the terror was real and inexplicable. It took me hours to get back and I missed my appointment but it was worth it to not go back down there.A few weeks later it was national news King Cross Tube had gone up in a conflagration starting on the wooden escalator I had escaped up,killing around 50 people.I was stunned. Why had I accidently gone there only to feel those feelings.

So, you were in an unfamiliar, subterranean environment; you were trying to get to an appointment several miles away, but you got on the wrong train; you realised you were heading in the wrong direction, so you tried to remedy your mistake; you experienced distressing feelings as the train got to Kings Cross, so you left the train and run up the nearest escalator, which is the right direction to go if you want to get out; and once you were outside the station, you some some vapour emerging from the grille of one of the ventilation shafts, which are designed to release warm, humid air from the tunnels created heat and moisture from the electric trains, their brakes and thousands of passengers per hour. A few weeks later, you heard about the tragic fire at Kings Cross. Shocking news indeed from somewhere you had recently visited, prompting you to recall the distressing experience you had had there. Unsettling, I am sure. But pre-cognition? Or was it a panic attack? The symptoms you describe are certainly consistent with the latter. The deep tunnels of the London Underground are old, noisy, hot, somewhat cramped, dimly lit in those days, and disorienting for many a visitor. Many people do have panic attacks on the platforms, and there are lots of people who won't use the tube because it's too triggering. I remember a TV programme who sought help from a psychotherapist to overcome the claustrophobia he experienced on the tube. The thought of it was his worst nightmare, and attempting to use it, he would feel blind terror, and be unable to even enter a station. Happily, I remember, the psychotherapist was able to help him, and finally he became a regular passenger. What had he been frightened of? His terror was real enough, but whatever it was that frightened him, he eventually realised it wasn't in the tube. Over the history of the system, there must have been thousands of people who have had an experience that produced symptoms similar to those you describe, and such incidents continue regularly to this day. The fire at Kings Cross was a unique event in the 160 yesr history of the network. You had an unpleasant and distressing experience, I am sure, and one that you understandably didn't want to repeat. But you didn't foresee anything, from what you have said. But the episode occurred not long before the subsequent tragedy. I wonder how many other people experienced a panic attack within the same time window. It may seem strange it happened to you. But it was likely to happen to someone, or some people. It might as well be you, as someone else. I wonder how many people had similar attacks after the station eventually reopened? Perhaps it was pre-cognition. That wouldn't be something that our current understanding of the world could explain. But we can explain, and understand panic attacks, much more easily. So I think the possibility is worth bearing in mind. A nameless presentiment might be a distressing thought given such a tragedy, like a message or a warning that was missed, or misunderstood. How many lives could we save if we had a true faculty of seeing the future? But as things are we are stuck with futile what ifs, and if onlys.
