I got my GED today!!!

I got my GED about 10 years ago. I wish we had stuff like that back then. I failed math more than 5 times, but that made me smarter. Ended up with a degree in aviation !!

I dropped out of high school due to terrible anxiety....I'm 29 now and I'm just now starting to regret it. For years I have had to work jobs I hate but I was always like "Okay.This is fine.I can work a job I hate.I'm tough." But I'm on my last limb and I'm sick and tired of having to work places I hate because I don't have a diploma. I'm so exhausted mentally and my little brother doesn't respect me because I'm a loser in life. And people loooooove to ask "What year did you graduate?"

Just took my Math test online(cause covid). I passed, thanks to these videos. Honestly, I just went over the UltimateAlgebra videos a couple times. Literally only these videos before taking my test. So thank you! I didn't really use my Kaplan book at all for it, it's easier to learn/memorize seeing someone work through problems rather than a book just spittin' facts.

I got my GED 2 years ago with High grades and my suggestions are as long as you have confident and basic knowledge for all four subjects go for it! Dont waste anytime doubting yourself.

I’m taking my math test next week for the second time, I failed with 129 and I’m praying to God this time I will pass. Re-edit I PASS my math test today!!!! I did it , after my third try. I failed yesterday 141 and took it next day , today! And passed exactly with 145 yes the math part is soo hard especially if you been out of school for many years. I did homeschool high school diploma 📜 15 years ago. I went to medical field everything was going well, until I was made aware that hat the hospital I was working for was no longer honoring homeschool high school diploma 😞 not only that hospital but all the hospitals are not honoring it anymore... Now I have to get my GED honestly I suck at math/algebra etc. I just don’t get it... Now I’m here trying to understand... 😔

I took all four test today on four hours of sleep. It is crazy long and exhausting to take all at once. I scored 168 in the language, 162 in social studies, 158 in science, and 153 in math. I live in Alabama by the way. I dont know if the testing is different elsewhere. Also keep in mind that I did very little studying for language, science, and social studies. All of the practice tests and practice test videos showed that it all came down to reading comprehension. I focused my time studying algerbra. Language was definitely the easiest for me. It was mainly reading a super long paragraph and answering around 7 based on said paragraph. I think i had to read 4 or 5 of these really long paragraphs. The stories were long and boring. In the end reading comprehension is all you really needed. In the essay, you have to read a really long paragraph that has two arguments. The goal of the essay is to decide who has the better argument based on the facts that are presented. Pulling out information from the essay was easy, but the compiling of information and typing it down in my own words took forever. I'm not a fast typer or good speller so this one was hard to do before the time ran out. Science was a bitch. It had much smaller paragraphs than the language portion, but it was so harder to understand. I felt like a couldn't understand English while reading most of these paragraphs. I almost didn't finish the test in time because I just had such a hard time reading the paragraphs. It seemed to be mainly testing your reading comprehension and knowledge of how to read graphs. It also threw several questions at me that told me to use a calculator. I didnt have a clue on what to calculate so I relied on reading comprehension and critical thinking to guess. Social studies was a lot like language but a little harder. You had to read long paragraph and answer the questions based on the paragraph. You had to read paragraphs from things like presidential speechs and answer questions like "What did president mean from this statement?"or "What can we infer is the presidents standpoint from his speech?" It also talks about the different government branches and what they do. I didnt know which branches did what so I wish I had studied up on the basic government branches and how bills, laws, and acts get passed. I dont remember a ton of questions that dealt with the branches but it definitely would have upped my score if I had know the basics. For math it had a lot word problems, make an algebraic equation from the word problems, solve for x type problems, and graphs. I cant think of anything else about math. Just make sure you understand how to graph, make an algebraic equation, factor, FOIL, fractions, exponents,etc. During testing I would have rather have done another math test than science because your brain didn't turn to absolute mush during math. I am actually surprised I didn't score higher on my math. Just remember to not stress yourself out before the test and not overestimate the test in your head. Im not saying it was an easy test but it definitely wasn't as bad as my mind made it out to be. To all my fellow test anxiety people, I wish you luck! You got this!

I just got my ged today! This video covers about 90% of what’s on the test, word problems, percentage, finding x, and triangles. There is a lot of slope questions and fractions as well. This video is helpful!!

I take my math ged test this week coming . I’m also taking my social test the same day . I failed the social studies twice so this will be my third time . Social studies is my weakest subject . Hope I pass the math and the s.s this week . I understand the problem and how to work it out it just seems when I test I get nervous and my head goes blank like I haven’t learned anything.

I finished high school but was an English credit short so I didn’t get to walk. I regret not making that up. Math is my worst subject but I can usually do it once it clicks and I “get it”. I’m 42 and my son just graduated in May. I’m so proud of him that I want to do this and at least get my GED. I didn’t understand question 17 and I think 25 is 5 hours? Lol. Math literally has my number. It’s the only subject I feel incompetent in. Thank you for this video and wish me luck.
