Great point, any flaw in the process can destroy everything invested. Just like farming. GFCI outlets are famous for being delicate and failing. js. I'd bypass code and install a regular outlet. Put a thermometer on top of your freezer - Even though it looks finished with insulation, your garage is likely too hot for efficient heat exchange for your freezer during the summer. It's a common problem. At least add a fan aimed at your coils? Search 'freezers in garages.' You can also insulate your freezer with styrofoam insulation board and hot glue. Blood leaked out? You're freezing that valuable meat and not vacuum sealing it?? Hair dryer? 1,600 watts and taking off the panel instead of waiting an hour? Old man thinking out loud. Hit up your local butcher for Elk shoulder bones? :)
very much appreciate all of the advice. :) Most of it was vacuum sealed but not all of it. Even the vac seal stuff sometimes isn't sealed extremely well with the FoodSaver sealers.
