Hello RU-vid! My mission in this channel is to share hunting advice, hunting product reviews, wild game cooking recipes and hunting adventures. I absolutely love pursuing all sorts of North American game animals but focus on Turkey hunting in the Spring, Hog hunting in the Spring/Summer, Elk and Deer in the fall and Duck hunting through the waterfowl season. My weapon of choice is a bow but I'm not shy about picking up shotgun or rifle.
Join me on this channel to share hunting learnings, adventures and enjoy the wonderful wild game that we are so blessed to harvest.
Some people say you're not supposed to aim a shotgun. You're supposed to point it. My explanation is do what works for you and for me for consistency purposes I like to aim down the rib. I will add that. I primarily hunt with a shotgun verses trap, skeet, or 5 stand etc.
Still Ashby broad heads better stronger and bleeders problem it stop rotation. With single bevel that Ashby broad heads WIL fly right through it tested by Dr Ed Ashby that's why he did not build it with bleeder blades.
I always feed my cat hearts, gizzards and occasionally liver. (Liver is very rich - super high in Vit A. To much liver can hurt the kittehhh.) I went to an Asian market and they had the most beautiful organ meats! I came here looking to find a recipe for the humans. :D
I'm planning to feed my new boykin pup a bit of duck organs too. I'm sure he'll love them also. I hope you liked the recipe. Let me know what you think.
I’ve been using the Benelli IC choke but last couple of years I’ve been using the Briley Helix Hunter. Most of the time using the short range helix hunter
The question I have is why are these broadheads so expensive when they are a one time use consumable that doesn’t survive if it hits bone? I for one will not be wasting my money on a one shot deal. You can get broadheads that will survive a bone strike and still be sharp, it just takes better steal and you may not like the price of them but one of them and a little bit of skill with a sharpener you can hunt elk for years with the same broadhead. pretty well thought out video and I must say pretty well placed shots!
Thank you. I agree with you. The “disposable” heads that I’ve used dont have the weight or durability I was looking for. I think the IronWill have superior metal than the GrizzlyStik heads that I’ve used. Most of the time you can just resharpen the IWs and keep hunting with them. The other thing I love about the IW is that if you do damage it beyond where you can resharpen IW will send you a new blade. The blades on the IW are replaceable.
Coming at you 3 years in the future. Grizzlystik is about to drop the new Alaskan head in 200 grains and made of Bohler K340 tool steel, which will put the A2 and S7 tool steels to shame.
I am confused. Why wouldn't you just change the shim to lower POI? You are not supposed to be looking at the hi viz bead BTW. You shouldn't even see that.
I had already changed the shim and made all of the normal adjustments. I agree, I don't "see" the bead when I'm wing shooting but a LOT of people don't shoot enough to ignore the bead. Also, when shooting at a stationary target (bird on the water, turkey, etc) it's very natural to aim with the bead.
It's very good although I'm not use to shooting my bow with real gloves so I don't get the same feel. I only wear these on the coldest of days. Most days I wear thin merino wool gloves with half the fingers cut-off. Those are either army surplus "fingerless" glove liners or the KUIU merino glove that I cut the finger tips off of the index and middle finger on each hand.
Man I am getting so fed up with my new Benelli I can't seem to hit nothing I shoot high and missing birds I've tried everything I'm going to try the bigger front site
It can be frustrating. There are several things to try. Make sure you have the right shims, Front sight, check your length of pull, you may need to put the extended butt pad and lastly you can adjust the barrel stop ring.
Great way of cleaning them, thank you. I had been trying to peel that off like you do with chicken, but on ducks the innner lining is stuck just too much!
Protected here in Michigan. Theyre taking over fields and crops by the thousands tho. Idk why they wont open a hunting season for them? They get hit by cars daily and ruin crops. Not to mention shitting alover yards if you live on a lake.
Great exciting video. What do you do with all that meat? Is wild boar really as good as store bought pork? It just seems like it would have to be tough given they're wild and eat just about anything.
My set screws kept coming out. Literally after like 30 shots it would hang up as they wound out. Returned it. Liked the feel of it but never got too far with it
No, it includes a SIM card. All of the spypoint (and i'm sure other brand) cell phone cameras come with a SIM. You will need to insert a USB. (micro USB in this case).
The best thing I learned from Japanese archery is to release as you're exhaling. So inhale as you're drawing the string back, hold when lining up the shot, shoot anytime during exhaling. Your hands will be much more stable and level while exhaling vs inhaling or even holding your breath. Tight strings out there!
Double bevel wide 125 with bleeder.most blood on a kill.Ive gotten. They were bought after seeing this test.I decided to use a heavy brass insert.and lighter head.THANKS
