It's maybe not "inappropriate" but just maybe a sly move, as the shaved ice/snow whatever you wanna call it will slow down the puck and possibly stop it from going in when the goalie is pulled out of the net, and leaving the opposing team a chance to score from virtually anywhere, which usually tends to be from their own end more often than you'd think. And being shot from their own end, the puck wouldn't be airborne by the time it reaches the net, and will be sliding, and colliding into the little barrier of snow, shaved ice, will stop it or slow it down and prevent a goal.
People were making offensive remarks towards others comparing them to animals based on skin color, disabilities, etc. I hate to say it- A banana was thrown because they were comparing the player as a monkey
Really? Calling Ovi out for saying "enough is enough" to a pest? Do you really want Ovi to say hello to Trent Frederick like he did to Andrei Svechnikov, because the Caps TV crew were worried that Ovi may turned a functional kid a permanent pudding and diaper patient
For the fans to vote John Scott in an example of people recognizing that not everyone is a Howe, Messier, Orr, Gretzky Kane, or Hull, but still gives their all to the game. By far the most inappropriate moments of NHL in 2024 are every time the washed up great ape steps out on the ice in his desperate attempt to catch Gretzky. All Gretzky needed was 6 for 900 goals and 37 assists for 2000, yet he respected himself and the game enough not to look like a clown. Ovechkin doesn't care how much he disrespects himself or the game.
That's fine, along with the two fans engaging in carnal pleasure during a panthers game, and the girl flashing her goods when the capitals won the cup.
Sports, I played em I love em but they are basically for kids, teaches a lot about life and how to work with others. Sports is our eras gladiator games, we love hating the other guy, other city, other country. We're prolific haters.
I am not sure the hit on Bedard hat anything to do with the All Star Game. I just think he went into a dangerous position and did not watch out for a possible hit.
Seriously, 1) calling the hit inappropriate is just a terrible call, 2) had nothing to do with the Allstar game and 3) You (faceoff) scripted it like it was some old guard bitterness about a kid playing well. He skated through the middle of the ice and dropped his head down. Anyone who has even an inkling about hockey knows that's a suicide play.
@@ashereign Personally I don't like him being hurt in that situation. I will say that it feels it comes to either him being inexperienced or the fact that physical play isn't the same as it was in my opinion so young players simply don't learn as fast that there are trucks on the ice that will hit you, and in a bad position with your head down most hits look ugly even if they aren't
How about the 1955 Richard riots. The traditional octopus being thrown in every playoffs from Detroit fans. The Bruins climbing in to the stands to fight New York fans.
how the fk is throwing a banana on to the ice racist??? sure its disrespectful and could possibly disturb the game but how the heck is it racist??? come on, you just see what you want to see.
