Just started a new job. I share an office with a coworker. My headphones were loud enough that he could hear Simon through the headphones. He asked "What are you listening to" and in order to describe what Brain Blaze was, I said "Imagine if JStor came to life Pinocchio-style, but was born with borh ADHD and Dissociative Identity Disorder", and I've never been more confident in answering a question at this job.

How many pairs of Vessi would I have to buy to realistically start a petition for a single 'throwback' Blaze to the heart of the OG Business Blaze era when I first stumbled onto your channels along with Megaprojects during the first COVID lockdown? Fun fact about the Caning of Sumner: it is the reason the US Houses have a written policy that states no member of the House can carry weapons of any kind on the floor. Canes and other items that could be used as makeshift weapons had to be left in the Cloak Room off the chambers. This is the same policy people like MTG where complaining about when they were told they could not carry their firearm on the floor.

If I remember correctly, the romans had 2 groups within their civilians: the plebeans and the praetorians. The praetorians were those who had some role in politics, and the rest were the common unimportant folk, the plebs. Opening the gates of Downing Street increases the risk on the street. A car cannot walk through the pedestrian entrance, but a bike can. Being ex officer, this is how they would see opening the gate. If someone decides to breach the gate when the guy is riding his bike, you can imagine the news berating the police for not letting the guy just walk the bike through

Wasnt the reason for low/short doors actually the cost of making/having doors, (the larger the door, the more material you need, the more it costs.. also i remember reading about a tax on windows, hence why you see windows that have been filled up with bricks or something in old buildings, more windows / larger windows =higher tax (and your house would just be cold as fck with all those windows). Im not sure if im correct here but there might have been a similar tax on doors.. or at least the reason for short doors was more the cost of a larger door and not the avarage lenght of peeps back in the day?

Since you were so confused about what a congressman is... Congress is the core of the legislature, where laws are made. It consists of two branches, the House of Representatives, which has a number of state representatives in proportion to the states' population, in order to give weight to the overall population to a fair degree of accuracy, and the Senate, which has two representatives per state in order to ensure that less-populated states are not completely overridden by the heavily-populated states. A proposed bill has to receive approval from both the House and the Senate and then get signed off by the president in order to become law (though if the House and Senate are adamant they can override the president's veto). I'm not sure which that man was, but I'm guessing senator.

There are specific events that facilitate unleashing those bottled up emotions such as sports events, Friday down at your favorite drinking establishment or some holidays which combines both very silly games (sports of a sort) and alcohol for a truly spectacular show of unadulterated emotions and falling on your ass.

Ok, so I don't think that Simon will actually care about this clarification, but for anyone else also wondering what exactly a "Congressman" is in the US, I'll briefly explain. Each state is divided into districts based on population (a low-population state like Montana will have few districts, a high-population state like California will have many districts). Each district elects one Representative (aka congressman) to serve in the federal House of Representatives in Washington. Normally, this would mean that Gianforte was not representing all of Montana, just one of Montana's districts... but because Montana has such a low population the state was, at that time, represented by only one congressional district, so Gianforte was actually representing all of Montana in congress at that time.
