there is SO MUCH trickery used by food companies when taking pictures of their food, like using glue instead of milk, marbles, various glazes, & other out right lies. You can easily google this. You should add some of these rebuttals into your scripts in the future dave so fact boy can get shut down before he goes off on a pointless tangent lol
Simon, The United States Supreme Court is very interesting right now. You should read what some of them have said about Innocence not being grounds for release, including recent death-row cases that have led to execusions. Multiple times, different Justices... still serving on this current bench! You could even get one of your many researchers create a script concerning the many ways these Justices have creatively determined the government hasn't done anything wrong. Immunity, alone, would be a gold mine!
Simon has previously wondered why battered spouces don't leave. Think he might have an insight now, the fear of abduction is real, and it's more common than you'd expect. I'm impressed the police did anything.
That astounding Carly Rae Jepsen anecdote, the Star Wars episode naming scheme, and finally a Better Off Dead reference, all in rapid succession? I think I could be friends with Kevin.
Simon. Our Supreme Court is corrupt. Harlan Crowe is the tip of that iceberg. I suggest you research the rest of that glacier because you really are missing out on being able to clown on our ridiculous excuse for law enforcement and judicial system even more than you already can!
please get rid of Brain Blaze. I appreciate all of your other content, however there is only so much we can handle from your silly, dumb, rants man... just makes me scream "shut the fuck up" get on with good content. thanks
One of my friends got an asphalt sore from a cop, who was wrongfully holding him under suspicion over something he absolutely could not have done and I was threatened with being taken down if I didn't leave the scene. It was especially clear we couldn't be involved, cause we were walking from the wrong direction and could not have been in the area at the time. Thankfully he was let go, but he wasn't allowed to file a complaint.
Sooo behind on my Whistlerverse watching as I've been computerless for a few months, but as soon as I log in to my new machine I started bingewatching these!
The Harlan Crow reference at the end, you probably won't read this Simon, but I hope one of your staff points out this is the rich douche who has basically bought and paid for American Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. It's been kind of an ongoing scandal.
You can't possibly over act the basket of bees on your head I think it was a pretty accurate scene and Nicholas Cage is an actor that isn't afraid to get paid not the most for one movie but the most movies possible cause who cares what the reviews say if you got paid already I'd be too busy doing the next paying movie and counting money to check the comments on the last one
The Texas thing with the cops mistaking someone's identity so ineptly ain't even the first time it happened. Jennifer Heath's story is a damn nightmare.
I am I am still buying CDs as of 2024 as well as the DVDs since I want my physical media Nunne I ripped them into my computer, so can I always have them not having to worry about streaming rights or shit like that
About the fanfic thing: it can actually go either way (not the Mary sue thing that’s always obnoxious but more original fanfic). The thing about fanfic is it’s a good starting point for newer writers. Start with elements of a world you know and create your own story. Some like fanfic because its a way to get stories with characters that you can better identify with that don’t typically show up in that genre (LGBTQA characters for example). I’ve read fanfic with better more interesting, complex and innovative plots and cases than in actual episodes of the shows. Also some authors actively encourage it as they know it’s a great way for newer writers to get their bearings and find their voice- Neil Gaiman comes to mind. He’s an accomplished writer and he also reads and occasionally writes fanfic.
The thing about clip shows - in simpsons (I know this is about anime but couldn’t help pointing it out) is in older shows like before the mid nineties is you couldn’t just always see every episode you want anytime you wanted. Your best bet was just have to catch your favorite on reruns but that was always luck of the draw. I know now they’re an annoyance but before packing your favorite moments into one episode seemed pretty good. Anime I think tends to get waved off as childish or odd because it’s animated but I think people tend to miss the draw (at least for some). You have long, engrossing storylines, complicated plots and really in depth stories. Yeah most are pretty far fetched but with the series long plots and intricate, complex storylines they almost feel like soap operas in that it can take a long time to complete the story. Stands to reason you may need a few recap episodes (though some are overkill). To Simon it’s called fan service because it’s put in specifically because it’s what fans want. It’s the same thing with shipping and queer-baiting. They put it in because it draws a specific demographic in and they keep Coming back.
