Fantastic is about all I can say. The range, timing, and the other instruments behind you are perfect. LOVE it. Thank you so much for sharing your great talent. Again it is FANTASTIC.
I love the breaking/reforming rhythms and extreme octave leaps! Inspiring playing! I'd need to practice 32h/18d a week to get back up to this level. WOW
What a banger... Wonderful tone, magnificient arrangement, truly inspiring ! Thank you so much for your work Matonizz, I think a lot of people want to practice after listening to your playing (me included !)
Oh wow! Just wow! Great playing and I agree has to be THE MOST HARD (INSANE) Euphonium solo. It spans five octaves playing the 8va/8vb option and not a real friendly key either in my book (lots of 2-3 fingerings not to mention accidentals). Very well done!!!
Yea, keep going with these catchy peices. I love to see a channel with the Euphonium as its main instrument, and you just bring it justice. Long story short, keep up the amazing work!
The king has responded! If I knew you would I probably would've made a more serious response, both the piece and your playing are fantastic, the Queen Sacrifice section is phenomonal
I stumbled across your videos when I took up euphonium again after 24 year. You've helped inspire me to play better and improve my embouchure thru your tutorials. Tha k you. That was an excellent performance on this piece! Something I would likely never master, but aspire to! Cheers
Awesome!! I really feel like this channel is going to blow up in the near future… You’re basically pioneering your own genre of content here on YT, after all. With content of this quality and consistency, I think your backlogs are going to get a lot of views too! Keep grinding!
Crazy! I’m also a euphonium player that is going to continue throughout college. I’m a senior in high school and still try to practice as much as I can! Your one of the best euphonium players I’ve seen!
Your performance has left me speechless. I’m trying to come up with something to say and nothing I come up with seems like it’s enough. Your talent is on another level. Just wow.
My daughter is starting euphonium and we started listening to your music. Unbelievable tone, skill, and range. We need to figure out how you can play those high notes so well.
OMG HIIII this is such a stunning sound, i would love to be able to play like you one day, i am a beginner player and i see you as a role model honestly, i love all of the music you play so much, the pieces are all so unique.
Seu timbre e seu talento, Realmente são admiráveis, com certeza és uma, das melhores referências em Euphonium!! Muito obrigado por compartilhar seu conteúdo conosco! Abraço
From a trumpet player with is euph-curious lol this really makes me want to make the purchase, though I suspect with the incredible tone you make I may be sad when I'm shit haha
Would depend on the level you're playing at. I'd highly recommend you check my educational video playlist. You will be able to find many routines, methods and exercises that will for sure cater to your playing and progress. Hope this helps friend!
When I was your age, I used to pick hardest pieces as well. It is not the best choice for success of performing those pieces but it is fantastic for pushing yourself to fast track the development of your technique :)
Hey Drew and all, you did it once again. Loved how the brass band "fought back" in the duel between to the two sides. Quick question> how many other instruments actually were being played? =) Great music, guys! My hat's off to you!
Not sure exactly what you mean with this question, but in general, if you see it there above, it's on the recording. Eb soprano, 2 to 4 solos (depending on divisis), repieno, 2nd & 3rd 2 to 4 (depending), flugel, 3 horns, 3 trombones, 1 to 2 baritones, 1 to 2 euphs, 2 tubas, percussion. To save time, we only recorded lines that were needed, with minimal doubling. (Sorry so slow to respond. I don't get notifications on this channel, and Algirdas gets a billion comments a day so neither of us saw this...I only noticed it by chance because I randomly navigated to this video and saw my name in the comments.)
This is so impressive! Such a great solo! You are a master, or better to say a god on this instrument! The only thing I would like to mention, I would have the Euphonium in the mix something like 3dB to 6dB louder. The drums could be -3dB. And regarding the score: is the Euphonium tuned in Bb? Because the score seems to be in Cm, but the actual key is Bb. I am playing the trumpet and the flugelhorn and both are tuned in Bb.
Thank you Artin for kind words and your feedback. Euphonium reads either Bb Treble clef or Concert Pitch Bass clef, with BC being more common which is the reason for part in score being concert pitch. However, the parts come in both TC and BC :)
This and the original is some of the best music I've ever heard. Do you have any suggestions for high school euphonium solos with concert band accompaniment? I found this video(and channel) looking for one and am curious to hear any suggestions.
