Great video and drone tips! With the recent drone ban speculation, I've been doing due diligence to make sure I'm 100% compliant as a recreational flyer. I'm flying a DJI Mini 3 (not pro) and love the quality, portability, and price. My tip would be to turn the units of measure in the app from metric to imperial to ensure ceiling compliance in controlled airspace. Blue skies!🎬
@focusedrealestatephotography glad to help 🤘 If you have the app for on site LAANC approval (“Air Control”) it has some similar preflight checklists now too. Super handy app 🚁
Hello Taylor! Thank you for another great video. I enjoy your down-to-earth, humble delivery. I see you even have props from the Pilot Institute below - pretty cool.
Your videos are all awesome !! I’m curious what drone you are currently using for real estate and what would you recommend. The company I do branding work here in Austin we use Black Magic’s and Reds, but I want to get into real estate as a side hustle. My personal camera is a C70. So I’m just wondering what drone you recommend that’s easy to match color with . I shoot in log. I was looking at the mavic 3 pro and the air 3. I just want to use the drone for establishing shot and your typical real estate shots, but want the footage to on par or close to the c70. Ty for any info
Hey! Thanks so much. I use a c70 too and like using my Mavic 2 pro with it. The newer one (3 pro) would be better though for sure with the multiple focal length options for more cinematic shots. Probably not air 3. Most of the less expensive ones have a lot less dynamic range so compared to the c70 it would probably be noticeable. I’ll be shooting a project in Austin in a few weeks !
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo Man thanks for this info, especially since you shoot with a c70. But yah after I am def going to skip out on the air3 since I found out it’s a fix aperture .I can shoot you. IG Message if you want to grab a drink when you’re in Austin. Either way thanks for the info and ty for all the quality videos you create 🤙🏽
@ozarka7554 No prob! Would love to but I’m literally getting there and working the whole time (all day event coverage / doc type stuff) then leaving the morning after early. What’s your biz? Would be cool to see.
You were able to get your mavic 2 to qualify as category 2 or 3? Did you submit a waiver? I’m just curious how that works since it’s not listed on faa doc?
What are you trying to do?? It's got Remote ID with firmware updates so it's clear for normal drone operations. For sustained flight over people / congregations I don't think it's clear for that though (if that's what you're trying to figure out).
@@TaylorBrownPhotoVideo I was just curious since you mentioned you carry moc and doc and I remember those are required to have for category 2 and 3 drones so I guess I got confused. Do you have to carry moc and doc documents for all drones? I just ordered a mini 4 pro as I just got my part 107. Just want to make sure I have everything I need.
As a professional real estate photographer I value your material. These are all things that I do ( except the Mace) on a regular basis, it’s a lot but I don’t even notice because it’s routine. Next week I’m flying in controlled class D airspace that took two requests to get approved because the first one was rejected. There are certain ways to adjust your flight plan and your description in the application to ensure approval. The way you are growing your influence and your business through this material is inspiring. Your attitude and attention to detail are an asset that aids you in your customer relations I’m sure. Thank you for your content, I’m grateful for you and your example of professionalism! 😊 👏🫡
