Pelcogo that would have came with so many consequences for those shitty kids tho 😂 no way they would have ever let that go to print and then hand them out. In reality everyone would’ve been pissed at them cause there probably would’ve been a super long wait for the yearbooks while they printed up new ones
Austin Cantley exactly, and in reality, it would have fucking been looked over and approved. but hey, more plotholes for julia cudney and the squad to call out😘
When I was in high school I joined the anti-bullying club and freaked the counselor out by saying we should remind bullies that their victims could come back and kill them. This movie proved I'm right so in your face Mrs. Kraus.
Idea: The bullies write in SPECIFICALLY HIS copy of the yearbook "Most likely to die alone" (not just "die," because that's not even insulting -- just stupid). He later achieves great success in life, and they come to his mansion on an island looking to capitalize on knowing him in high school. One character dies first in a way related to their "most likely to..." in front of the others. They try to leave, but the boat on the island is not working. They find the bullied guy dead alone on the boat with the yearbook page (each of the two characters dead has a check mark beside their "most likely to..."). They realize what's going on and are killed off one by one in poignant ways. The final remaining character is the high school crush of the bullied kid ("most likely to break hearts"), who discovers that he faked his death. He brandishes a menacing knife toward her. She tries to convince him that she didn't mean to hurt him and was just going along with what the others said. He pretends to believe her, handing her the knife. He then takes her hand and lunges the knife into himself, dying. A flashback is shown as he gouges the knife into himself of him in high school seeing her deface his book with the others watching. The film ends with the remaining character being taken away by the police, with conversation implying that she will be tried for the murder of the group. I'd like to hear anyone's thoughts.
Isomer Mashups the trope of the murderers crush survives and gets arrested for the crimes is actually reminding me of a British high school film I watched before can't remember what it's called tho
julia cudney It was, it was explained in the movie that an alternate version without the "Most Likely to Die" was approved by the principal, and then they snuck out the original version instead.
For some reason I thought the title of this video was "Most Likely to Die in Garbage." Which would probably be a more depressing video... This one's fun though!
I think that the movie had a interesting concept, but it was wasted due to the characters being tedious and obnoxious, and pointless scenes and conversations that just seem inserted into the story in order to pad the running time. You know that you're watching a "garbage movie" when all you can think is the following 8 words: "I don't care what happens to these people". And even then, you're just waiting for the killer to strike and off these insufferable people already!
Well i think that's kind of the point. They were bullies in high school and most people hated them. So of course you're not supposed to feel bad for their death. I actually like the concept of the movie if it wasn't for the short runtime, it coul have been developped better i think. It really felt rushed.
Two superlatives off the top of my head: Most likely to be rich: beaten with a sock full of gold Most likely to be famous: their murder is livestreamed on facebook
Or instead of “more likely to be famous” what about “most likely to be found studding in the library” idk I think you could take it as: Having a book fall on the Getting pelted to death by books Or my favorite, have the character study, and the killer play with their mind to the point of suicide. I think it’s clever but maybe it’s stupid I’m not sure...
so i read the wikipedia description of this movie and it says that 'it is heavily implied that the unknown figure is the spirit of or is this john kid' and so i guess this is a paranormal movie now wtf
danganronpa pulled off superlative-based elimination so well that it's basically their brand. i literally couldn't think of anything else when you mentioned that im sorry im gonna go die now
@@AATCgal SPOILERS FOR V3 Some of the executions didn't, but in most cases did at least tie into the characters and their backstories. For example, Kaede the Ultimate Pianist is executed by being hanged and her slowly dying body is used to press keys on a giant piano, each press giving her a bit of relief and extending her death. But the Ultimate Anthropologist doesn't die by anything to do with his talent, instead it ties into his story with his sister. The big exception is the Ultimate Maid, but her execution is very unique, well done and tied into Japanese folklore so it gets a pass
I could literally come up with three different superlatives off the top of my head to off someone: 1.) Most Athletic, the killer makes the victim run from them for so long that they pass out and then the killer gets them 2.) Best Musician, the killer drops a piano on them/positions their corpse to be playing the piano 3.) Class Clown, the killer puts the mustache-and-glasses mask on their corpse Like it took me two minutes
I like both formats, play by play, and the Plinkett style. I'm wanting to alternate between the two with my future videos, depending on the movie and what I have to say about it.
reminds me of a book i read as a kid "i know what you did last wednesday" which is a detective parody lol, everyone got killed by their best subject in school(chemistry got poisoned, globe filled with a weight fell on geography girls head etc)
this plot is literally...LITERALLY almost the exact same plot as Slaughter High, which is ALSO a terrible film (they did it on best of the worst lmao). this somehow looks worse and less creative. how could you rip off another b movie and make it WORSE?? i laughed at the part where you locked a door for Ashley in an Uber and everyone looked at me weird love you
Well the thing about slaughter high it's s o dumb it's fun like he put acid in a closed beer can haha with most slashers you just gotta shut off your brain and enjoy the ride
Layla THAT MOVIE IS A STAPLE OF BRITISH TEENAGE CULTURE IT IS MY CHILDHOOD AND I FORBID HER FROM TEARING IT APART (lol jk it's pretty cringe but I still love it she can tear it apart idc)
I think the heartbreak has to do with her breaking her girlfriend’s heart. Considering being gay was her only trait, and she mentions wanting to leave her girlfriend a video that she never gets to, I think the implication is that she broke her girl’s heart by dying.
The only reason why I remember watching this is the way he used his cap as a weapon to slit her throat in a cool shot. Otherwise the characters and movie are forgettable
personally i like the play-by-play format but i see how it made sense to review this movie differently, maybe u could just switch between the two formats depending on the movie? idk i'll watch literally anything u post anyways
This looks like a pretty bad remake of Slaughter High. Unlikeable morons being lured to a 'reunion' by a person they bullied that wants to kill them or someone like that and decide to break in even when they notice the place the reunion is supposed to take place in is abandoned/cordoned off and they die stupidly off one by one. Yep, that's it.
I like this format, but I think it depends on what movie you’re reviewing, with Mean Girls 2 and Legally Blondes I think it was necessary to go in depth scene by scene, but with this film and maybe this is also what you should’ve done with Bratz, this is the format that works better. Either way, I’ll watch the videos
idk if anyone mentioned it, but the break hearts is bc there is a heart on the mirror and the mirror breaks and she dies, stupid nonetheless, but i've always assumed that was the reason
mandatory pretentious comment but horror movies nowadays are so bad... anyway i love your reviews julia and i liked that you used another format this time.i like your regular format as well but it's nice to see you branching out!!
"all I want it's live a long and happy life".... Idk, the killer could leave her alive, but carve a eternal smile on her face. Like tear her lips just enough to leave a gigantic scar, and maybe leave her face Immobile, and leave her traumatized to a point that she couldn't speak anything, be completely catatonic. Then she would live a "long happy life", it would be more gory, and maybe a little better
Speaking of good vs. bad ambiguous endings, you should do The Giver movie. I’ve personally never seen but the book was a favorite of mine back in school and i remember it having a good ambiguous ending. Now I wanna see how the movie turned that concept into a dumpster fire.
i really enjoy your "_____ is a garbage movie" series! there's something cathartic about watching people rag on shitty movies for 20 minutes. i spend a lot of time watching really awful movies, so videos shredding bad movies are right up my alley. personally, i like when the videos are split up by categories rather than moving through the movie scene by scene. i feel like it lets you make better commentary about the thing as a whole in any given moment, instead of being restricted by how the movie was laid out linearly. my only advice would be to chance the noise you use for the transition parts with the category titles. i dont know if its just me, but that sort of static-y noise hurts my ears a lot. otherwise, love your videos dude!
I watched this on Netflix and I felt like it was a movie that no one would ever watch. I was alone in the world. A world where I watch bad movies and very very good movies on Netflix but no one has seen either the good or bad movies.
you should do Attack of the Killer Donuts, also Zombeavers but I feel like that one is actually enjoyable to watch. Not a horror movie, but Leo the Lion is a wild ride.
Maybe someone should make a most likely to die 2, with the same plot, but better than the original because it’s realistic, and entertaining, but the reason why it’s connected to most likely to die other than the plot is that they find the videos that the guy did and then they learn the mistakes that the other people did and find a way to not die. But some of them die because they make new mistakes, because they’re human. Also the killer would actually be the guy that the new bullies bullied, because that’s realistic. They should also make the guy that they bullied have a mental disorder, because that would explain the killing. I dunno, I just thought that it was a shame that someone wasted this fairly good plot on this movie. Anyone agree?
ok hold on. i have never watched this movie (and i don’t plan on it) but after the blonde chick kills the plot twist killer wearing plaid, does SHE put on the mask?? is SHE the new ominous figure that “shows up”?? like is that the ending??
